What state is the best place to live for college students?

I am currently still a high school student but I am beginning to think about the future more because soon I will be graduating. I am planning to go an out-of-state college preferably NYU but, I am open to any place where the cost of having an apartment is not so costly. I am just really eager to get out of the state I currently reside in. Any advice?

If you can get in with your grades then I would go to Ohio State University. In Ohio the rent seems to be cheaper then anywhere else you go.
Ohio State has a great reputation and also a phenomenal sports team.
Wherever you do chose to go back sure the reputation is know that away your jobs options are better.
