It is really true that the more you sleep late at night, the more acne you can get.

acne is not really caused by sleeping late at night. more often than not, it is caused by the hormonal imbalance. i used to suffer from acne and has been a regular to dermatological clinics. i must admit i sleep as late as four in the morning. most of the time because my work requires me to be awake during those hours. all the while i thought that my acne was caused by me sleeping so late. then a friend suggested that i seek the help of an endocrinologist. it was discovered that my acne was triggered by hormonal imbalance, and high insulin level (i was not aware i have high insulin and that it causes acne). it has been 7 months since i was under the care of an endocrinologist and i have not a pimple free face.

It is my personal belief that eating healthy, getting enough exercise, and getting enough sleep can always have a good influence on whatever physical or mental health issue you face. So yes, I believe (and I've read a number of articles and books by dermatologist who believe the same) that getting enough sleep can help clear up acne. Sleep is the time for the body to renew, rejuvenate, and repair itself, so when you're not getting enough then every other aspect of your health suffers. Not getting enough sleep can elevate your stress levels, throw your hormones out of whack, or any number of things that can later cause acne to get worse. It's just one factor out of hundreds of possible causes of acne, of course. So even if you are getting enough sleep, something else might still be wrong. But it's certainly a good ground-base, and it's vital to your health so you should be trying to get enough sleep anyway.
