Hi ekoytyas!
I have also been using IDM to download videos files. It's not that difficult to integrate IDM with your browser. Go to the options of IDM and there you'll be able to configure IDM the way that you want it. Just also make sure that IDM is installed as an add-on to your browser.

It isn't a big job to integrate IDM with Youtube , but you can't integrate it with Youtube , you have to interact it with the browser you use . Just install IDM , the addon will be added easily with the mozilla firefox or else search for the IDM addon !

I am not using IDM, but maybe this response can help you. I noticed that YouTube changes often the link for a direct download, and I believe that if you find the way to do it today, it will no more be valid in a couple of months. Since more than a year, I use a GreaseMonkey script, YouTube Enhancer -- http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/33042 -- offering a download button. It is a lot more than a downloader, and works with Firefox, Chrome and Opera. The script is well maintained, and when YouTube changes the way to download a file, it is updated in less than a week.
