Do you just laugh at some of the spam you receive?

Well at least during the first bits that slip by the spam filter. I just see the title and chuckle. Especially when the spam is not only a scam, but an obvious spam. I do give points for creaitivity in many case, many more for sheer annoyance factor as I press the delete button, but there are times where they are so over the top that I am amused. Then it because less funny when I realize that there are people falling for this despite it being absurd.

Sometimes I feel my mail inbox/spam box should be empty. No compulsion from any quarters. So I feel happy in deleting a file. I smile and then delete. have a good day.

Some amusement. Hit check all. Hit delete all. Go on with my day. Oddly something catches my eye every now and again. I just wonder what the person who composed it was thinking. Never bother to open it, because who really knows what nastiness lurks within. Still they have done their job in a twisted way. Number one rule is to get your attention in the title. Of course keeping it is another matter entirely. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

I don't bother with spam, I opened one once and it contained a virus...my dad was certainly not happy with me afterwards. I do get a kick out of the subjects like...there's a way to improve your manhood...it's just so funny because I'm not a man. There are also some who refer to me as Mister. It's all just really crazy.

I get naughty ones too, which make me laugh, as not only am I a woman but a 56-year old one! :) I usually delete without reading now because there are so many bugs and viruses out there that cannot be stopped!

Some of these e-mails are rather disturbing to say the least. You don't need to go past the title, because that's more than you need to know. My mother got e-mails about telling her where to find hot young females in her area before. It is amusing how they just send some of these things out. Still they go into the land of deletion for sure, perhaps they might give me a moment of amusement or a moment of horror, it really does depend in many ways. Never open up, because there is just so many risks. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

Yes, the ones that many often fall for are the ones that tell you in the title you have been awarded some money, and the ones promising you something that is not really there. Problem is the ones falling victim are usually elderly or people who are newer to the Internet and cannot really afford to loose their money as well. But I have seen some Funny titles along with the Nasty ones as well. Wish there was more of a way to block and Stop them.

That is really the saddest thing of them are. Many people are falling for this, because quite frankly, they have not been around long enough or don't know the rules of the game. Or are a bit too trusting for their own good. Trust me when I say that the Internet breaks you of that little fact if you are on it for too long. They are most certainly lessons that we do in fact learn the hard way a lot of the time. Therefore, while some of them are absurd and we laugh at them, many people for a multitude of reasons, aren't as savvy or have not learned the lessons of how harsh the Internet can be or whatever. Got to be careful, it can be dangerous out there. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

I don't tend to open any of my spam mail unless its one that got filtered wrong and I know it was a real email. the rest I just check all and hit the delete button. Not worth taking my time to open and possibly get a virus. I hate having to take my precious netbook in just because someone wants me to open something. I am learning to use my yahoo block so I don't get as much spam. But you are right there is a lot of stuff out there especially I see in the title you have won.... yea right I won the spin to hit the delete button LOL!

Yes, i laugh almost everyday. I'm always getting ridiculous things like i won an ipod or a tv, or i won 10,000 dollars. I'ts crazy how much time people put into making these spam things and how much time they take out of their life when they can be doing better things.

That really is something, isn't it? Well they are working hard at doing something like this, something absurd like this. You can't deny that. However, just imagine how valuable their lives would be if they put half as much work into something else. That is really just amazing, its extremely amazing, one of those things that just makes me shake my head from side to side a lot of the time. I think that its absurd at times how much time these people really are spending in an attempt to get these e-mails all together. It is extraordinary in many, many ways. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

Sometimes I read them just if I have a free time. There are times that if I am not busy I tried to delete all those things since I think it is not useful for me. :)

In the end they are not useful. However, just seeing the titles, it does give me some amusing. Or some horror depending on the situation. Really when you think about it, there is really no point to actually reading them. When I see the titles long enough to delete them, I really do find something like this to be rather interesting in many ways. For about the five seconds that it is going to take me to send them off on a journey to deletion land. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

Hi megamatt: Now that you mention this, yes. Sometimes when I receive a really stupid spam email telling things that are simply adsurd, like for example that I have won 1000 dollars and I just need to open this mail, I laugh while deleting this mail. ALVARO

If only it was that easy. Sadly its not that easy. But there are a lot of people who think that things are that easy. I mean, there are a lot of people who would open that e-mail, without thoughts of the consequences. Don't know if it is greed or being naive or a combination of both. Still I snicker, think that someone is likely to be fooled by something like that somewhere, and that is really both sad and kind of amusing. Yet that is just really the nature of life on the Internet. There is some absurdity for sure. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

Hi megamatt, i do look at my spam/junk often, just incase anyhthing that is legitimate has gone through there. I do love to see certain banks mentioned, aswell as the obvious one of paypal. So many times i get all of these emails from these "legitimate companies" to say that there is a security breech or there are problems with my account and so i needed to update my details. By updating my details as they want i then will give them all the information they need, including my passwords. Well, i am not that daft at all, i have considered on many occasions emailing them back and telling them where they can stick the information that they want, but i do think it is just best to leave them alone, surely at somepoint they will get bored, i can quickly delete the crap that they send through and they can gather no information at all.

The old updating the password/give them the security details or whatever is one of the oldest tricks in the book. It is a wonder that something like this still works and is still around because its known. Then again, there are people who keep signing up for known scams and spend their money, so obviously there are people who are falling for this. I look at these e-mails at times when I see them, wonder how could anyone could fall for them, then realize that someone most likely had a few times. Often times they do look close enough to seem legit, other times its more sloppily done. Still there are some spam artists that take pride in their work, if you can call it that. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.
