I found the Post loop site here on mylot. I joined and subscribed to the portal forum. We have to make 10 posts and wait for the approval. To my surprise, I got a mail stating though i have decent length, but my grammar is too poor. And they need people only with strong english. I felt really bad. I feel Mylot is best place when everyone can stay here irrespective of the ups and downs in language. I never realized i have such a poor English. Sad.

I agree with you. Here we are not writing big paragraphs. We write small paragraphs or three /four sentences only. further it is discussion mode -- that means as if we are speaking --that is why grammar is not being given more important --each wants to convey what he or she has in mind. This purpose is achieved herein whereas in sites like Trinod, postloop etc. people who have mother tongue as English or others who are extremely good can only write. have a good day.

Hi Ravisivan, True! I was very confident when i posted in postloop. When they mentioned the reason, my grammar is too poor, i was really demotivated. Though I agree am not so good at English. When I said this to my family, they started laughing. Anyways its good i participated in the forum, will try to improve better.

Thanks Ravisivan, yes i think i can improve it and your example tells it easily. Not at all, i take it a moment to learn and improve. Thanks for helping me! You have a nice day as well!

yes. for example in the last sentence -- you could have mentioned "Anyway, I am happy for participation in various forums and I will try to improve." Do not mistake. Sentences can be improved if we write, rewrite and approve after doing thorough spell check also. have a good day.

I don't find your English that bad. You shouldn't be sad. Insistence on "perfect" grammar is the rot upon our modern English. English is a relatively young language and should be allowed to find its true flow. This means encouraging the influence of other languages and slang. Noone speaks English in a "perfect" gramatical flow so why stifle the flow of the written word. Some of our best poetry comes with "terrible" grammar.

That's too bad but the good thing is that it can always be improved. I joined Postloop a few months ago from learning about it on this site. I haven't been active though. I just haven't found any forums that were that interesting. I have a forum but I can't list it there because it's not compatible with their software. Oh well. Maybe you can try again some other time. Wait a few months and see what happens.

They are actually very strict. My first request was also declined. They said that everything is okay including the construction of sentences and the grammar. However, what made them declined it is because I sound so robotic and unnatural. I tried to post another 10 discussion and I was already approved.

Hi Chiwasaki, Thats nice to hear you got approved. Yes, one of my friend got same reason for rejection as she sounded very unnatural. Very strict they are and i have no hope if i would be approved again!

Hmm now this is strange as I have seen many say the same thing about Postloop and I wonder if they just reject because of high membership and with excuse. I wonder if all who are there actually have impeccable grammar. Seems odd, but I agree I prefer to be here and not sure about PostLoop as I have not given it a try. I saw yesterday where someone broke down the earning area and seems like a lot of efforts and reading your discussion makes me wonder why apply so much of it when the earnings are going to be extremely low. I would not take the rejection to heart as it appears way too fishy to me, and I only say this because sine Saturday I have seen writers rejected too.

Well, my thought is no one has perfect grammar. Even a Grammar teacher mess up once in a while. They won't tell you that though. I can bet you 10 to 1 they all have some spelling and grammar errors themselves. I wish people would realize we're suppose to be having fun here and on other websites people choose to chat or communicate on. Best Wishes!

Hi Sswallace, Thats really comforting. I felt really demotivated. I use to teach my kids English and Grammar, so 2 days i just skipped touching the subject. Now I understand from your words, its not really i have to worry or feel bad. Thank you sswallace!

Aww. That's too bad. =( I haven't joined that postloop thing but I have read through it. I don't really know how many points you are given for each post you make but I think maybe if they are too strict about english - and mind you, I don't see anything wrong with your grammar..., I think it's best to just stick with myLot. At least this place is proven to pay and you will never be criticized about english. Have a nice day! =)

Hi Moirai, Yes I really wanted to be with mylot. And I feel comfortable here and now i feel why i have to try something else. Thats really discouraging when they talk about grammar. Infact I never worried about grammar. Thanks friend, its comforted me better!

Hi Swats, Yes you are right, even I heard that. But when I read the forums faq, I felt its not that easy per day. They have lots of restrictions. But just gave a try and feedback pushed me low!

I feel compelled to speak up for postloop here. I've been a member...maybe 6 months, and I've made a nice little chunk of change. Like everything else, you're not going to get rich quick by posting in forums, but for those of us who enjoy it and do so anyway, it's nice to get paid for it. They harp about grammar because they have clients, and their clients want a certain 'degree' of professionalism. If you're going to provide your clients with a service, I'm sure you want to make sure you're providing them with the best service possible, rather than shoddy work. But.... For those that are using forums to improve on their English, they don't need Postloop to do that. Join some forums on your own! And I think you can even re-apply for a contract through postloop if you were first denied. I would simply work on improving the issues I had first before setting out to acquire a job that capitalized on it.
