hi, now a days numbers are used in many ways. Cell numbers, landline numbers, std, isd etc., normally the landlines consist of six digits or numbers if we want to call some one other than our state we select the code of that state and call.As cell phone have changed everything so fast ,these numbers consist of ten digits. And we have Idea ,Airtel,Reliance,Bsnl,Spice,Vodaphone,Tatadocomo etc., and many are coming up like just fludding. When we want to call other state we dial or add a zero to the cell number and make the std call. How to know the incoming call whether it is a mobile number or landline or a international call.Numbers of different providers just change the numbers, now portability of numbers also came and we are more flexible in using the same number.

If the number from which u are receiving works with STD code and then that number then it is landline. If that number works with 0 and number then it must be cell phone number. If it is not working with 0 or STD code then it must be international number. have a good day

I am thinking in the coming days if the numbers are displayed with colour indications then it would be more useful for any one to identify things more better. Some numbers from unknown reach us and we sometimes call back and could not reach because of these degrades. i feel if its a landline then it should have some color ,if it is bsnl then some color, if it is a airtel cell number it should have some color, and if it is an international number it should have some colour. Do you dont have any problem in US because its a new place and you are not aware of all the numbers and systems of there . Do you always rely on someone else for small things .As elders do not even like to ask some things at times, they want to learn by themselves. Have a nice day.

Ur suggestion appears to be good. In US I talk only to numbers in India with which I am more familiar. Most of the time I am before laptop, watching movies, tv shows from India and then posting in mylot. have a good day.
