Who would win the AL East this year?

It sure seems like the most exciting division in baseball year in and year out, with three teams always looking to be a big threat to win the division and the AL, in general. The Yankees and Red Sox have always been tops for the longest time, but the recent surge of the Tampa Bay Rays has shown that even small market teams can compete here. This year, it sure seems like the Sox have loaded up on a lot of players, while the Yankee rotation just got downgraded it seems. Tampa looks to be in rebuilding mode after losing some of their core players to free agency. As it stands as of today, the Yankees are doing good thanks to the surprising pitching of guys like Ivan Nova and Bartolo Colon to back up their ace C.C. Sabathia. The Red Sox had an awful start at 2-10 but have then picked up the pace, while the Tampa Bay Rays are still strong thanks to their pitching. The Blue Jays started out strong but have dipped, and the Orioles are normally where they are right now.

I think the Red Sox will end up ruling supreme. If they had not had a shocking start to the season I reckon Boston would of been well in front. They have a batting line up on fire with the likes of Gonzalez and Ortiz hitting for fun at the moment. The pitching roster is strong and getting stronger. The Yankees will be there or there abouts but the loss of A-Rod at this stage of the season will be a major blow to them.
