Who's Roy Skelton you may ask? Well, he did the voices for many characters, including the Daleks in Dr Who and (most famously in my opinion) Zippy and George in the kids' show "Rainbow." A clip of which is shown below.

I saw a cute Zippy toy on someone's lap in a moving car on the motorway the other day. I wonder if it was a talking version?
Zippy is extremely opinionated by the way and gets told off ALL THE TIME!
I'm gutted Roy Skelton has died. The orignal and BEST!

I have Heard that Name and I never New Who he was. But now I need to Watch Dr.Who again and Look for His Voice and the Daleks. Sorry to Hear about somebody Passing Away so Famous in England. That is When You here about a Person that You Normally wouldn't Here about When Living. Strange But factual Sometimes. Unless he is Big in America

Well, Dr Who is fairly big in America so Roy Skelton will be too.

I am not sure that I am gutted. But he undoubtedly gave something to our childhoods. Why were children's programmes in those days so much more fun than most of the ones that we see today - not that I spend much time watching any TV during the day. Bring back ther Woodentops, Bill and Ben abd Andy Pandy. Tales of the Riverbank and the incomparable Magic Roundabout....

Awhh how sad as I read that his daughter stated he passed away from a stroke. 79 is not at all long lived and so my sympathy and heart goes out to his surviving family.

You're right, 79 isn't that old these days. At least he gave us all pleasure on the telly when he was alive..something to remember him by.
