If someone is not getting distracted listening to the music then I don't see problem, did your friend sing while driving?

If we are tired driving. we can stop the car and take a rest. if we feel fresh. we can continue to drive.

I think music does not affect the fact that you drive. Music causes us to be more relaxed at least me.I think that my music does me good and I do not piss off the road.Have a nice day!

It depends on the type of music you would enjoy listening to while driving,I think..Soft music is relaxing,Hard rock and Dance music would get you going! You can have an accident while listening to music, and it would have nothing to do with what was on the radio or CD player at the time..if something distracts you from your concentration on the road and other drivers around you,you probably shouldn't be doing that..What were the details of your friend's crash? Did He blame the music He was listening to? Did someone Hit him,or did he hit anyone else? was he distracted by doing something with his in car sound system?

That is so sad. I guess it depends on the music the driver is listening to. Listening to loud and distracting music is not good while driving and so with listening to some mellow music since it will put the driver in a sleepy mode and still accident will happen. I think listening to music is good if its not so slow and loud. To top it all, as driver we should always be careful and pray always to be safe.

Let me guess his sound is in high volume. Which he didn't hear the sound of the horn. If we like to listen to sound let the sound be in minimal level. So we can still hear the sound outside our car/vicinity.

Just to clarify things, is the music the reason that he got into an accident? Loud volume? As a driver I really love driving with music. It keeps me awake and lively during the wee hours of driving. The problem lies to the volume or the kind of music you are listening while driving. Maybe the volume was so loud that he didn't hear the horn of an incoming or overtaking car or motorcycle. Also, the kind of music affects the mood of the driver. A fast, upbeat music affects makes driving upbeat also and raises the speedometer. Rock music increases the cutting, overtaking and car maneuvers of drivers because it keeps the mind like high. Slow music tends to slow down the accelerator pedals. Music affects the mood of the driver which also affects the driving details.

Can't agree with music distracting all drivers. I find it more relaxing listening to music while driving, complete silence makes me nervous and THAT would probably cause an accident for me. It's unfortunate to get in a car accident for listening to music :/ must have very bad concentration. My first time driving I was a wreck, then I turned on the radio, laughed, and felt more in control, before you know I wasn't so bad at driving!

i think you friend is not get accident in listening to the music, because music can make you calm, but accident is everywhere accident will trigger even if your listening music or not.
