that you do not like for your friend?
i know we cannot interfere much about our friends' affairs but we are close with our friends and they ask for our opinions about the person they are dating... what do you think? do you think that we are allowed to give our opinions if it is asked of us? i mean, say our true opinions... and this might just hurt our friend...
so what do you say? should we, or should we just not say anything at all?

If I truly love my friend, I should be able to tell him or her about the person he or she is dating. What are friends for? if one can not speak the truth. Truth may be bitter or hard to say at a particular time and to a particular person. But the good thing is that it is better to say it and it will then be on record that you actually gave that person some advice at a particular time.

On few occassions I have vocally aired my opinions about my friend's dates. However, in all of these occasions my opinions are called for. Sometimes I hurt my friend in the process but as you said, honesty is the best approach. After all, it is OUR opinion and it doesnt necessarily mean that it is the truth.
Happy mylotting!

Well my friends never asked me for opinions on their partners. Probably it's best that way. If any of them did, I probably blabber out the truth. I meant, it's not easy to lie, especially if I don't like that particular person, I would definitely try to avoid that person. They probably noticed eventually.

I normally don't care about my friends' affairs. If they wanna date someone like this then so be it. I'd rather care about my own dates.

A friend of mine once asked me what I think of the guy she was dating. I am a friend who is concerned of her and what others may have to say. I knew the guy because of his bad reputation with girls. And I told my friend without any doubt what I think. But of course I have to add that she will be the one to decide since she is the one directly involve with it. I was only there as a friend. And I am sure she didn't took it as interfering with her life. She has her own decision, I was only there to speak what I know and she asked me anyway, so why would I lie.

Hi Chiyosan~
If I don't really know his/her partner or that is my first time see him/her I will not tell them anything about them even if I don't like her/his partner as I don't know them very well. If it is not my first time and there are things I don't like then I will tell it to my friend that I don't like it and waiting him/her to answer that..
