My uncle and his wife (my aunt) are both city fiscals in my province. Another uncle is a well-known lawyer. My other aunt used to be a principal when I was in highschool. I guess that's just as far as I can go.

Nobody that I know is a big shot. I did not know what a big shot was. I thought it meant a very important person. Well, my mum and dad are very important people to me. My children are very important people to me. So I am probably going off the subject here.

hi! a family friend is a big shot in the microfinance world here and a speaker in the international microfinance industry. a family friend is also an economic adviser of my country's current president. but they keep a low profile. such humble people. simple folks really. one wouldn't think how wealthy they really are.

I've a lot of friends and close fraternity brothers who went into politics and are now members of Congress or the Senate. Some are governors of their provinces. Well, these friends of mine were let's say second or third-generation politicians, their parents or grandparents having held the same positions they're now holding. But what's interesting is that back in college, they were just typical college students. Party-goers, cramming at exams, getting sometimes into mischiefs and stuff. And they also experienced heartaches and being dumped by women :)
