AdSense (Help Me Please ;D)

My Adsense account have already been approved but this is the problem "Do I need to add my own/custom add to post it on my blogspot or just do nothing and wait for the ads to show?" Because I already had the widget but yet the ads didn't showed up it's been almost a week for now but no ads shown. HELP ME PLEASE, Thanks in advance.
