Rep. Weiner is going to rehab.

Just what is Rep Weiner being treated for? I didn't know there was a treatment for being stupid. Seeking treatment seems like a way to get out of the spotlight and make the "media problem" go away and makes you look like a victim. While you are in treatment there is no press coverage and when you come out there is a new front page story.

It's just to calm the people down... like- yeah, I'm doing something to fix my problem... (not). He should resign.

I think people should just admit they've done something wrong and accept the consequences of their actions.

I'm thinking electro shock therapy on the offending organ might be in order. How idiotic can these polititians get? There's another group of polititians just looking for something to use against you & you just hand them something like this....

That's a good question. The only thing I can think of is treatment for acting like a middle school aged boy. Whatever they call it, he's not a victim in my eyes. The victims here are his wife and unborn baby, his constituents and the issues on which, in my opinion, he was right most of the time. Now somehow, just as with John Edwards, because he acted like a stupid idiot his message will suffer as if someone who did something so wrong couldn't be RIGHT about anything. Annie

Sometimes those in public life just get too full of themselves and feel that they can do no wrong and do what they want. Or as my grandmother used to say they are too big for their britches.

Your grandmother was right and I'm not sure there's a treatment for that! Annie

What gets me is that apparently a majority of his constituents don't want him to resign. Just why would they want someone so stupid to represent them? Also, the Democrat caucus is all set to strip him of any power and to kick him out of the caucus; so he would be useless as a representative.

The Democrats may not want him but as much as it may be distasteful it is up to the people of his district to decided if he should be removed.
