Fruits Basket

If you don't know what Fruits Basket is then it's a manga and also an anime. Personally I prefer the manga to the anime due to the fact that it goes more in depth with things. The anime pretty much leaves things unresolved. My favorite character would have to be Kyo.
So, what I'm wondering is if you've heard of Fruits Basket? If so then do you like it? Do you prefer the anime or manga and why? Who's your favorite character and why? Let's discuss c:

My favorite is the Rabbit - Momiji. He's so cute and huggable!~ I cried when I watched the episode about his past... it's so sad.. (v.v) 
Though I don't usually watch shoujo, I love Fruits Basket. It's so sweet and heartwarming.
I haven't read the manga and I'm not sure why. I think it's perhaps because my friend told me that in the manga.. there's quite a bit of romance going on. Personally I don't really like reading about romance (though I don't mind reading it).. so perhaps that's why I'm not exactly motivated to read the manga. But well.. I love Fruits Basket so one day I shall pick up the manga to read the rest of the story!!
