Well, if you look at batting averages, Don Bradman is far far ahead of anybody else. And please remember that in his days there were no helmets, elbow guards, thigh pads, chest protectors, and so on. The pitches were also not so good, and the fast bowlers were very dangerous as a result. Against this scenario, his average is even better than it looks. In the body line series against England, when the English fast bowlers bowled continuous bouncers (there was no one bouncer rule in those days), he averaged 55 when the next best guy was below 20. Against this, Sachin and Lara both average around 55 in normal test cricket, and below 50 in ODI's. With much better facilities, they compare poorly with Bradman. If you are looking at great CRICKETERS rather than great BATSMEN alone, then you have to consider all rounders. In this area, probably Garfield Sobers, Ian Botham, and Jacques Kallis would be the best ever.

I personally believe Sachin Tendulkar is the best batsman of all time.He has almost every record and he has served cricket for more then 21 years now and he is still going on and on and i think he has achieved everything in his career and he is a complete batsman. He is very humble also and therefore he is respected all over the world so i truly think he is the greatest of all times.

Sachin Tendulkar is the best beyond doubts. During Bradman's period bowling was not that good. Tendulkar shines well in all forms of cricket, I mean test, one dayers and 20/20. He has 99 international centuries to his credit. He has taken many wickets and catches as well. he is still going very strong.

A batsman will be liked when he scores more and more runs. That way recently the guy in RCB - he use to hit sixes only--but he could not play well against CSK. What is his name? Gayle--I like him. what about u?

My vote goes to Sachin Tendulkar. Because of his evergreen performance in every part of cricket like batting, fielding as well as bowling. He played well in his early days. Even if he is going older, He is not become weak performance that cause to disappointed the supporter.
