I have read in my daily devotional a few days ago, that for us to be able to reflect on what has been the day before, we should keep a journal. Then, we should also put in it the things we have to be thankful to God for the day. So, I bought a small notebook and did it. I always start with the word “ yesterday”. I felt it’s a nice way to keep a record of what God has been doing in our life and realized I really have a lot to be thankful to God.

Hello SIMPLYD! Oh, I thought you're referring to "accounting task" when you mentioned journalizing! (lol) Seriously, very few people will take time to jot down notes and reflect on their lives. I think people have become so occupied with worldly things and thus they often neglect the most important thing- our spirituality! I am confessing now that I am guilty of this--sometimes... I believe it helps a lot when we slow down and meditate on God's words. Short scribbles and Bible meditation will surely help us in our daily tasks... Truly, there's so much to be thankful for each day and start including your every heart beat...

Crazy you might think me of, but there are times that i cry to God, alone and in the confines of our bedroom. I would tell HIM all my anger , but not necessarily angry with HIM. I know , that sometimes too much anger is a sin, so i ask forgiveness afterward too. I feel fine after doing so.

That's true! But as human beings we sometimes tend to become ingrate and discontent... Was there an instance that you complained about life? Sometimes I do complain and after so much whining, I try to calm down and ask for forgiveness.

I keep a journal which I write in at the end of every day. I have realized that writing in it has helped me grow as a person. I don't usually start it with anything specific except my date, time, location, and a one or two word status/mood. I find that it is helpful for me to sort out my feelings on paper. Sometimes, I pick up my journal and reread old entries to gain perspective.

It's really nice to have a journal. Rereading what were written , refreshes the feelings for that day. However, i now only keep a journal of those happy feelings and events. At least , when i reread them, the nice feeling will be refreshed too.

I tried keeping a journal for a while but I realized that as I would look back at the entries I made I either would edit them or I would get upset at what I was reading. So,I decided to stop. I do from time to time may write something down.

I started last week to journalize, but i realized i could barely do it everyday. However, i would always reflect on the day's activities when i pray at night. My reflection would prod me to thank God for them. Like you, i would just jot down some important aspects of the day's activities to keep me reminded of them.

Wow, Kalyani , you really take note of things. That's nice, you are always ready to take note of anything that catches your attention. AT least, when you have to go back on that day, you will remember how things went that day. Nice to keep track of events!

I think keeping a journal is a great thing. Though I don't have much time to write in one like I used to. I've found that since I've aged that a planner is the best option for me. I know what I've done the day before, what I'm doing today, and what I'm doing the next day. Best thing ever :D

In that case, you don't need a journal anymore. It both serves the same purpose and having it will be redundancy on your part.

Well, i want to make a journal of my everyday activities. It will give me something to read whenever i feel lonely. At least, i will be reminded of all the nice things i did and received from God. I call them God's graces.
