Have you seen any irritating commercials lately?

There is one in particular that drives me crazy. It's a Dove soap commercial, and it starts..."We asked REAL women...", and I'm thinkin' as opposed to what? Female impersonators? Transvestites? Robots? I know what they meant...they meant as opposed to super models and movie stars, but don't you think it would have been better to leave the word "real" out?

There are of course many types of commercials on the TV. Some are very fascinating, and indeed some are really so irritating. There is one commercial that comes up many times in the course of the day which is very irritating to me. A guy would sing a song, and his voice is as if he is suffering from some very severe pain physically. So annoying. When that comes up, I change to another channel immediately.

I don't think I've seen that commercial. Where are you from? And thanks for responding.

I've seen this commercial and it doesn't bother me at all. I actually use dove body wash, but not because of the commercial. I can understand where you're coming from and I'm sure there's another word they could have used besides "real." Maybe something like "everyday women." I'm not sure that would justify what you mean. I'm not really bothered by it :S But the commercial that really irks me would be the Sonic one (not sure if you've seen it). It's a couple sitting in a car at Sonic (fast food drive in). One is a lady and she's talking about onions keeping vampires at bay, while the guy sitting next to her (who is in fact a vampire) tries telling her it's garlic. I'm sure some people find it amusing, but I really don't like it. It actually quite annoys me.

It's not that it really "bothers" me, I just think it is a poor choice of words, and everytime I hear it I have to laugh to myself, thinking of robots or what have you. I haven't seen the Sonic commercial. Probably because Sonic is rather new to this area, and I only know of one around here.

I really hate the dirty mouth clean it up commercials. I think that they are annoying. They are constantly on my tv as well and I get tired of seeing the same commericals over and over. The bad thing is they have several commercials out so I not only have to put up with one but I have to put up with a ton of these commercials.
