What Do You Think Of The Green Lantern Movie?

I saw it last night with my hubby. I thought Ryan Reynolds was funny in this film. The effects were nicely done. I would've also loved to see more action scenes. I didn't like Blake that much in this movie. I thought she does a good job in Gossip Girl.

I watched it last 2 weeks and I was not happy with it. I thought it will be great just like X-Men which is indeed first class~ But Green Lantern??? Thumbs down~ I don't like it at all. Ryan looks ..I won't say idiot nor stupid but that character is not clever enough and he looks so weak~ The character did not have strong charisma. I don't like the final. It just as simple as that. Lack of action and I am not satisfied~ I want more actions but this movie disappointed me. 
I don't even want to rate this film because it is way too far to beat other superheroes movies.

Not really. I just know some of them and the rest just the name not the details of the story~
I just feel sad because it don't reach to our expectation. It just like what you look in its trailer is what you will see on the theater and that is all~ Nothing more very poor of action parts~

Good choice!! Better not watch it in the cinema and I encouraged you to go on have the DVD when it is in the bargain bin~ Ryan is a great actor but Hal Jordan his character is bad for him. I am not a Marvel fan as if there is any of us who are Marvel fans here they will object and opposed to everything I said here~

Buried? I haven't seen this one zone. Is it another comedy film? I'm not a fan of Ryan as well, but I did enjoy watching him and Sandra Bullock in The Proposal. I think that one's worth a DVD rental!

Hello and good day!
Truth is I haven't seen it (yet). I might check it in a few weeks, though I am not that sure.
I am kinda getting tired with all superhuman/superhero movies lately, seems like they just keep making them in Hollywood because they are successful and bring money. Additionally, the green lantern is a superhero that I haven't heard of and I am not much interested in it.
But share your thoughts on the movie; Was it good in general?
Not worth to watch and I am not going to have its DVD in my movie collections racks.

Hey there CT, I'm giving it a 6 for effort! I thought the costume of GL was also well-thought of; as well as the setting of planet OA. Other than that, everything doesn't work for me. You think Ryan Reynolds was the best pick for that role?

Actually, I thought the movie was going to be great. It turned out to be just another average film. Compared to the last movie that I've seen, which is X-Men First Class, Green Lantern was a 6 out of 10.

Hey beingwell, I am so very much looking forward to this movie. I'm definitely excited, but the teaser made me feel that it looked kind of corny. I wish that the movie is awesome, because from what I've read on the internet, I feel that sequels are a given. The movie just seems too grand and flashy for an original story and there will be a lot lost in the adaptation of the movie from the original. I felt that there was a lot lost in the Harry Potter series too, which received a lot of appreciation.

I don't know about the original story but the movie is really bad and far from our expectation. I thought I could give it an average rating but it can't even reach that rate at all~I forgot about the director but is there going to be a sequel for it??? Huh...will need to think more than twice whether should or should not go to watch it~ I hope there will be no sequel~ I will not compare it with the great superheroes movies and just take between Green Lantern and Fantastic Four-The Silver surfer....Hmmmmm... I would choose Fantastic 4!!!Hehe...

I enjoyed Fantastic 4 too CT! It's also a DC comic, isn't it?
I can't say yet if I'm to watch GL2, if ever there'd be one. It may be good the next time, CT. Look at TF2 vs TF3. TF3 seems more promising. And I'm really excited to give it a go!

Well GKS, there will only be a sequel if it makes money for this first one. So let's keep those fingers crossed. Mark Strong would make a good villain for GL 2 as Sinistro.

Just yesterday here in Bangkok. It's nice, not great though. Still a nice flick to catch though, when you've nothing else to watch.

This DC comic-turned-movie isn't one of the best. I think Batman series is the best yet. Green Lantern for me is just an average movie. If you want to enjoy and have a good time, watch it. But don't expect a lot of actions or significant scenes from this flick.
