Chat System in myLot...

Most of us here are quite satisfied with myLot's forum interface, some are not. Someone even suggested a bit of actual time socializing or discussions... in short a Chat system. Would you like myLot to have a Chat system? And do you think it will do good to myLot community? or perhaps it will degrade the uniqueness and stability of myLot??

Hi smashville14, In my eyes, discussing is pretty much chatting. Therefore, MyLotters are "chatting" with each other every time they respond and comment on posts. I do not see the need to add a chat system. Everyone seems to be suggesting changes for MyLot these days, and almost all of them seem to be wanting to modernize MyLot and make it like other popular socializing sites like FaceBook, Myspace, Twitter, etc... We don't need a chat system. I think that would only cause more abuse for the MyLot staff to handle. MyLot is fine the way it is.

Oh, Let me explain and clear up something that I said. Chatting and discussing are not exactly the same. You see, discussing is talking about topics that interest us. But chatting, that is more talking about random things, off topic, etc... If you want to "chat" in MyLot, you can use the messaging feature. That is what it is for. To talk about whatever you want with your friends outside of discussions.

hi smashville you must be the the hundredth person to suggest htat and nb no no no. It would ruin mylot as so many new onew would just chat and thats all, too lazy to writed two senternces let alone a whole discussion they would be on chat all day..Lets keep mylot uniques ahd chat instead with our keyboards instead.We get mpre fun this way and get paid for it. I doubt mylot admins wants this hazzle and I sure know I do not.

I don't either! We can use the PMs to chat with our friends or discuss withem (and get paid for it) in the discussions. There are other sites for chat, but there are no others sites like myLot - so while spoil it?

hi Hatley and mysdianait... I didn't post my personal opinion above but you know what I would totally agree with you... as they say "why fix it when it's not broken?"... and if I am myLot admin too, I would spare myself from having headaches...

Ya i would be pleased to have it. And i was always pointing in discussions that there should be some system in mylot to know the online user. There should be some sort of indication to show whether the user is online or not.

Hey smashville14, I saw that you mentioned this in response to one of my posts. I agree, I think a chat system would work here in MyLot, so that we can talk to one another in real time. Although, I would chance to guess, if they did have a chat system, they would probably add it to the revenue. Hopefully it will increase the revenue for more payout. I like it. Maybe you should suggest it to MyLot.

well personally I wouldn't want it but if ever a chat system is feasible here in myLot... it should go through a deep study of how the chat feature works for everyone, the rules and regulations/guidelines, limitations, as well as how it will not interfere with the prime feature of myLot which is being a forum.

I wouldn't have a problem with their being one, however, I would so much rather spend my time doing things that I would get paid for on here. I don't think they would get any revenue from us chatting, so they would not pay us.
