I was watching television,Rachel Ray. They give a review about a Normal Skin versus a Dry Skin. According to the person explaining about the Skin. After we took a bath we only have 3 minutes to apply moisturizer to our body to lock in the water to our Skin to avoid dry skin. I honestly encounter dry skin especially after taking bath. Is there a moisturizer especially made for Men? What brand is that?

hello syoti, sometimes the kind of water that we have dries up the skin. try putting on vaseline moisturizinglotion on the skin before patting the water off after bathing. yes, i mean it.. while the skin is still wet. the skin absorbs it so fast and the skin is pretty nice to the feel after. have a nice day. ann

hi syoti, you can try other brands that would suit to your skin. what i am emphasizing here is try putting up moisturizer or lotion while your skin is still wet and before you get a towel to pat the excess water. ok? i hope it helps. ann

Avon has some products for men. Also available are the shower washes for men that have some moisturizer in them.

You are welcome! Also, there are some moisturizers that are generic for men and women both, like the moisture therapy line. We just got one that has 15 SPF and I am excited about that, though I do wish it had a higher SPF.

Hi syoti! Whether one is male or female, it's important to moisturize daily with a pH-balanced, fragrance ( or you can have the fragrance-free) lotion suited for your age and skin type to keep our skin healthy, as well as looking and feeling great. So, you don't have to choose moisturizer specially made for men. You may use and buy any of them that suit your face the most~

I'm not exactly your neighbor but, if you can find Nivea, or Vasaline Intensive Care that's a good start. If you were my neighbor or coworker I would tell you to go to an upscale department store. They cater to mens skin needs (better stuff)and will also tell you to exfoliate. If you can get your hands on a lufa, or one of those nylon skin scrubbers you won't have to use a time consuming chemical exfoliant. Hope this helps!

I was skeptical in using Vaseline. The last time I use Vaseline my skin irritates. I haven't tried Nivea so I might give it a shot. Thanks 2004cqui

I got a chance to talk to my cousins over the weekend. Most are men. The only brand any one of them will use is Eucerin! It wins in mens moisturizer category, absolutely. A lot of these guys are farmers and mechanics. Who knew they would use moisturizer?

There are a few moisturizers for men my husband usually utilizes Axe or Gilette either of those to brands work for him. But honestly that was kind of interesting, I didn't know that most of the time we encounter dry skin right after a bath, I would have thought it would've been the opposite. Thanks for the info.

Many mid range to high end brands do have moisturizer for men. U can try Khiels, Clarins or Clinique. They are quite good for dry skins, but it depends on how sensitive one's skin is as well.. haha =D Dun bother about cheap brands like garnier, L'oreal and all, for they are not usually suitable, even though it says, 'for all skin types'.. haha

Avoid using bath soap on your face. Use moisturizing soap rather like Dove or Olay. Now for Moisturizer after bathing. I think Nivea has moisturizer for Men but I can't vouch for its effectiveness coz I am not using it. Now as a woman and user of Olay, I could say Olay is good. It has been effective to me and I believe men and women alike can use this. My husband uses my moisturizer whenever he feel skin tightening actually.

I would say you will get the same result when you moisturize regardless of your gender. Just remember to use gel-type moisturizer if you have an oily skin because having one is not an excuse not to moisturize.

"After we took a bath we only have 3 minutes to apply moisturizer to our body to lock in the water to our skin to avoid dry skin." I never knew about this! Maybe that's why even I use lotion for my skin I still got dry skin. Thanks for sharing that information. I think the market offers a lot of moisturizers now classified for men use. I think there is Nivea for men. I really don't care about the classification of the moisturizer. I just sneak and get moisturizer products from my mother and sister. Haha!
