Naming my Dog...hmmm what will it be?

My friend who is a breeder of Dashund dogs called me earlier to let me know that one of his dogs gave birth to 3 females, 2 of them are red brown in color. I told him that one red brown will be for me. With a little excitement, i am thinking what to name her since i already saw pictures of the newborn puppies and she is really cute. I want to name her Honey because her color is like honey. What is a nice name for red brown dashund? Will you name her for me pls? any suggestion

Hummm Sniffer, i think i would consider that, but Maxy sounds masculine for her, She is a girl so id like to pick a sexy name hahahah. But thank you for the suggestions:)

How about Sniffy instead of Sniffer? Most dogs I know have names by their color, e.g. Whitey, Blacky or Brownie. So what you intend to name her as Honey can be a nice fit. But still, a nice creative name will make the dog a little bit extra special. Just name the dog with the name of your girlfriend. You'll suddenly find it amusing. Just kidding!:)

Thank you for your suggestions Agentgulaman! Yes, mostly dogs are named after their color and their physical appearance. Hehe I can also name her after my girl friend, but not my girlfriend as in my lover because i am a girl!

Thank you Galena, now i am at ease to name her Honey, looks like many are voting for Honey to name my dog. Henna is nice, too but i think the Henna itself is black, right? The henna which is used as hair dye and tattoo is black, so it wont suit her color. :) Good morning from the Philippines

real henna is reddish brown. I've been using it to dye my hair lately, and it's very red now (my picture is quite out of date)
from what I understand, black henna usually has some rather nasty additives to make it black.
but as I said. I think Honey is a nice name.
enjoy your pup, whatever name she ends up with.

I have a female Dachshund too. She is very small compared to a typical Dachshund.
I named her Putchi, I got it from the title of the book. I don't know what comes up on me it's just that I feel that it suits her being mini and all. Honey sounds good you should go with it assuming what you have said I think it's perfect for her.

Yes, I think honey is sweet and is usually term of endearment. So there is something in the name, i will be sweet to her then. Putchi is nice name too, but i am still thinking of something sexy for a dog and unique hehehe..
