I love doing poetry! Unfortunately I don't have the time to think. That's what's keeping me from producing a lot of poems. The most I could do back then was twice a month. Slow huh?

You know, it might take you a couple of weeks to do a poem, but your poem probably have meaning that the ones that turn them out like several a day. It sounds like you put thought into your words and that is good.

I love poetry. I write poetry to vent my feelings. Have never been good at expressing my feelings verbally.

From childhood's hour I have not been As others were; I have not seen As others saw; I could not bring My passions from a common spring. From the same source I have not taken My sorrow; I could not awaken My heart to joy at the same tone; And all I loved, I loved alone. Then- in my childhood, in the dawn Of a most stormy life- was drawn From every depth of good and ill The mystery which binds me still: From the torrent, or the fountain, From the red cliff of the mountain, From the sun that round me rolled In its autumn tint of gold, From the lightning in the sky As it passed me flying by, From the thunder and the storm, And the cloud that took the form (When the rest of Heaven was blue) Of a demon in my view.

People have one talent or the other. It is upto their parents/teachers/friends to identify that and encourage them. Poetry is one such talent. Not every one can write and I am sure many people appreciate the poetry.

Writing poems is a way of expression for me when the verbal words just won't come forth. It is a way of satisfying my mind of an answer for strong emotional experiences.

I love writing poetry and short stories. The only problem is trying to sell poetry. It's one of the hardest things to do.

I like to write poetry, just haven't done if for years. I do, however, make & write my own greeting cards for friends and family.

Hi! I would love to write poetry, but I'm afraid I'm not very good at it. I've been doing some research into learning how from other poets who teach the tricks of the craft, but I haven't progressed very far. :-)
