What do you look for?

What do you look for in a Daycare? Is it the rates? Or the cleanliness? If you had no choice but to put your child in daycare what would you look for in it? What is most important to you? All thoughts please! =)

I would look for reputation. I would want to ensure that my child is in a safe environment and is well attended if need be. I would like to be sure that the people tending the daycare, aside from its their job, is for them to enjoy being with children. If they only run a day care for making money, then perhaps your child may not be as cared for. Usually the best idea for a daycare is, how would you like your child to be treated? The best response is the exact same way you treat them or better. And of course, cleanliness should be a basic part of the checklist, as you would not want your child to have some sort of virus that they acquired during the daycare, and would not want them to bring it home or pass it around. Make sure the rates reflect the daycare. Their price must meet their quality. And don't be shy to ask other parents and children when possible. And observe the comfort of the other parents when possible. And do NOT choose the daycare if a parent's ONLY reason is, I chose this daycare as it is the most efficient for "me", as they might not be listening to their child's view or possible complaints about the daycare .
