How did Starbucks get its name?

In 1971, an English teacher, a history teacher and writer started a coffee roasting business in Seattle. Yep, it was Starbucks! So how did Starbucks get its name? What was it named after?

I don't really know how Starbucks got its name but it's definitely catchy. I like it's simple and easy to remember.

Starbucks in honor of Starbuck, the coffee-loving first mate in Herman Melville's Moby Dic(so company legend has it), and because they thought the name evoked the romance of the high seas and the seafaring tradition of the early coffee traders.
