Very first cell phone.

My first cell phone was a Motorola Pink Razr back in 2006. It meant the world to me, hahah. I loved everything about it and thinking back, it rarely died and I was ALWAYS talking on the phone. A flip phone, something I never see anyone with anymore, was the coolest thing in the world to me back in the day, lol. It didn't have internet access, It wasn't a touchscreen, and it didn't have applications like smart phones out these days, but I thought it was the best phone in the world. As time went on, I've had a variety of cell phones. Currently I have the LG Sentio, and I'm happy with what I have, but I know that my old pink razr will probably have a longer life than this one(bad history of LG phones breaking quickly). What was your very first cell phone? How did you like it? Do you feel that you've upgraded a lot with the phone you currently are using if you have a new one?

I am now having my second one Nokia with internet connection, camera, sms etc. Since I stay in chennai where we do not require further advancements like blue tooth etc. I am not having those. I am happy with calling, sending sms. You are young person and it is nice u are having a cell phone from your 10th year. good. LG phones - I also had bad experience with this when I bought one for my daughter say 7 years ago. have a nice day

Well the first cell phone I got was Nokia something. I'm sorry I forgot the name but it was a slide phone and like you I treasured it. It could run for days without charging it too. That was in 2005-2006 I guess. Now I have samsung galaxy S. Well I love it but since the s2 is out not, I want a galaxy S2 :( lol i hate it when they upgrade this things and that make the previous one kinda outdated :/ Anyway the fone I have right now is a lot different than the first one I had, I still loved my old fone dearly.

Yeah the life of the battery is not so long but you can go to the settings and fix that which'll make it last a bit longer. My displays were too bright but I reduced the brightness in order to save some battery. And I always carry a spare battery or a charger with me coz i'll never know when it'll die on me lol I never had this problem my Nokia though

My first phone was a Nokia 5210, which was the one that was like waterproof, and yeah as you said above so many people got Nokias as their first phones lol. I got it for my 12th birthday (yeah I know that's probably too young for having a phone but everyone was getting them! :P) so that was in 2002. My next phone was the next waterproof Nokia one which was blue and had a colour screen and a camera and all that, which I got for my 14th birthday I think. Then I had it in my pocket when I went down a waterslide so it broke, so I got the Motorola Razr like you although I got the black one, cause I didn't think pink suited me haha. My next phone was the Nokia 6300 I think, which I got when I was 17 I think, which was a few years ago. I lost that on a night out last year so I got some crappy Nokia one as a temporary replacement, but ended up having that until a couple of months ago when I got a Blackberry. I always used to take the piss out of people who had Blackberries but it was on a really cheap offer on contract, and we don't get ridiculously expensive data charges here in the UK like I hear you do in the US, so I thought I'd get it, and I really do like it. So yeah, I've had quite a few phones lol, and my current one is definitely a massive upgrade. I don't know how I'd live without the internet, Facebook, email, etc on my phone now.

Wow, that's a long history of cell phones.. I've never had a waterproof one, I heard bad reviews like it doesn't actually do anything except not electrocute you if you are using it in the shower lol.

My very first cellphone was Nokia 5110 10 years ago. It had an antenna which the present cellphones dont have. I wanna get a pager back then but word of a new gadget spread so I thought about getting one. I was so happy then because I was the first of my friends to have a cellphone and they were using pagers. But the cellphone industry have a long way. Im not contented anymore with just plain texting or calling. I want much more. That's why I bought an Android powered smartphone so that I can call, text, listen to music, watched videos, surf the net, or play games all in just one gadget. And Im thankful that Im not too old to enjoy this kind of technology we have right now.

Oh my.. my first cellphone is actually the one i'm still using now. It's Nokia (whatsthecode..thecheapesttype). Anyway, obviously i like it enough to never cheat on it. All the people i know in life have had at least 3 cellphones before. It has no camera, no music player, no nothing. It's black and it's dull. But it does what it has to do. Let me talk, message and wake me up everyday to go to work. Enough said. btw, i'm new here ^^ Hi.

Many started with Nokia and motorola,Nowadays we get new companies and for less price and they go away from the market very fast also. I used Nokia until now ,recently changed to celkon. My father is still with his old Nokia mobile may be some five years before piece. Its still working and in gud condition.I took this celkon as it is less in price.,has options which a costly one can give.

My first phone was a Nokia 7110. At 17, it was the first phone I had which had texting capabilities. My current phone is a Desire S by HTC. Upgraded in terms of features. But battery life of phones was definitely a lot better then.

Mine was nokia 3210. I really got excited that time that my mom was planning to buy it from a friend for me. Even though it's a second hand phone when I got it back in 2003, I really liked it and felt it was the most precious thing I ever possessed. I've upgraded my phone as years pass and now I have Nokia 5230, a touch screen phone, and uses it to go online even here in mylot to post responses like this.

The very first cell phone that i had was the Nokia N73 in 2007 . It was a really big smartphone to show off with back then and just after three years i bought another smartphone powered by Maemo-Linux , it's the Nokia N900 . Really great device for special multitasking capabilities and a long lasting battery . I still use my old phone and my new phone deserves to stay at home cause it's incredible delicate at this point :D

I had nokia 3315 as my first cellphone. It was just a phone for texting and calling people up. It did not have the applications we have now but I had fun with that phone. I did a lot of upgrades with that. I knew someone who re configures the phone so the feel of it is like another phone. It was fun. We also keep on changing the back lights it has. I missed that phone. I missed the simplicity of it.

My very first mobile phone was a Motorola StarTac. It was first launched in 1996. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motorola_StarTAC I remember that the price of it was very high at that time, which was around $700 US dollars. But it is good to have a mobile phone which is light and easy-to-carry. Also, since at that time the charges per call were very high, having a flip phone at that time could avoid dialing to somebody accidentally. I could still remember how jealous my friends were when they were looking at my Motorola StarTac. And since it was a classic mobile phone, my family decided not to trade in that phone but rather keep it as a pleasant memory we all had.

My very first cellphone was nokia 3210! It was a hit back then, huh. But you know what? What I have now is motorola Rxr. It was given by my sister who upgrade her cellphone into blabkberry. Anyway, back to that again, I really love this cellphone! My sis changed the housing into black, but I still like it. I like the flip and the so flat keypad. I know that it will last long because I'm taking a lot of care of it. :)
