I've decided to try it, but my art teacheer said I need to see how it is done, and offered to show me how she is doing it. Can you give any tips about the technique that you think might help me learn it?

Dry brush technique is, basically, what it says: using an almost dry brush to apply paint which is not diluted. It is used mainly to create fine texture effects such as you might need for fur, rough wood, fabrics or distant foliage (to name just a few). Seeing it done is one way of realising its uses but actually practising it oneself is really the only way to learn how to do it. This site seems to have a pretty good description and a video which might help: http://www.watercolor-painting-tips.com/dry-brush-watercolor.html

I tried it earlier and figured some things, I think I'll be able to understand it better once she'd show it to me. Thanks for your link, it helped!
