Last year, for lack of anything to do, I found a personality test online. I did answer all of its 73 questions and was fascinated with the results. Apparently there are sixteen personality types according to the Myer-Briggs personality test(just google it if you want to try out the test yourself, I can't post links yet). ME? I'm an introvert and very intuitive person. Some parts of the assessment I agree with and some parts I'm not sure. Just this year I took the same test and my personality changed. I'm still an introvert but I've become more rational. I guess people can really change. I'm still amazed with the results. How bout you do you take personality tests? Do you believe it at all?

The teachers used to have us take a personality test every year back in high school/elementary school. I got different results every time. I don't think I've taken one recently, I got pretty sick of them back in school and didn't really want to see another one again for awhile. They're also all different. I don't think I'm an introvert (I don't really 'thrive' on alone time, I actually get really antsy and afraid of my own shadow), but I get that result a whole lot of the time.

Some people think extroverts are loud people, always the life of the party. If you're not always hogging the stage then you must be shy and and introvert. That's just it with personality tests, they don't take little quirks in consideration. at least that's what I think.

I've always thought I was somewhere in-between. Because I am pretty shy and I'm not very good at hogging the stage or even maintaining it for five minutes, but I thrive around other people and kinda shut down when I'm alone. The way I've always heard it, introverts are supposed to thrive on alone time and other people tire them out. I'm not really like that at all.

I guess we always have both the extrovert and introvert sides of our personalities. There are just times that one trait seems more obvious than the other. For an introvert, I babble a lot. Like you, that seems in contrast with my supposed personality.

I think it works because of the psychological response, each 'type' have few carachteristics in common, like people do this and that for a deeper reason.

I know of sites like queendom.com which gives personality tests. They are useful. You say you are an introvert. Still the results have changed. Possible reason can be that while answering second time since you are aware of the questions you would have marked subjectively - correct answer versus wrong answer in ur view. That is why the result has been distorted. thanks for starting the discussion. These tests I use to compare the following situation - One stands before a mirror for combing his hair. But closes his eyes. then he cannot see. same way while answering if the answers are marked subjectively they will not show correct results. have a good day.

honestly, not all the time. i prefer to read books about temperaments and the like. sometimes internet would deceive people so as to use their service. i would rather read psychology than taking these tests but i admit, it is a bit fun..

personality tests do not work out for me because i have many different attitudes with different people. I think they are not accurate at all and if you don't like your way of being you could just change it right?
