Do you find yourself saying stuff you heard a long time ago but never recently?

Today I found my self saying something to the affect-"And if they think that's going to happen they've got another think coming". Have you ever heard this before? I surprised myself. I thought wow I haven't heard that since I was a young kid! How many other sayings do I have back in the cobwebs just waiting to spring forth? I don't have much left from my childhood. My parents are both dead and the house I grew up in is sold. But there is obviously something left in the memory banks I can't go through like a filing cabinet. So I thought about that saying and where it may have originated from and what it means. I think it most probably came from Germany as my extended family is full blooded German or half German. They pretty much all live in the same area that was established by Germans. I think it was eluding that the people referred to were slow to think things through. It's funny in any case.

I was raised by a less than patient mother. I'd hear her sometimes on the phone with a friend talking about someone else' kid. She'd say "I'd fix her little red wagon". First time I heard her say that I wondered if her dad would be glad to fix it.

Brace yourself-Wouldn't that frost your balls off? Interesting but useless. It's not dirty! It comes from the days of wooden ships and their cannons. They used a copper plate to stack cannon balls on in a pyramid. It would expand and contract with temperature change. Hence, it's cold enough to frost your balls off. (oh boy if this one doesn't get deleted I'll be surprised;)
