What i'm thinking that sachin should take retirement as now in our indian cricket team there are lots of player who have potential to play marvellous. I aware of the fact that now also sachin is in good form as before and have capability to change the game in his way but it will not remain longer as his age wouldn't permit. I don't want to see him to leave the cricket because of his poor game like the sourav ganguly had. What you think friends..?

Sachin should continue playing as long as he like in my view. Because he is born to play cricket and if he quits this what will he do. I have seen no one so hunger for cricket as Sachin has for the game. He must and will be playing as long as he feels its time to retire. I feel Sourav retired from the game because he is not fit for fast and furious game like T20. In this short version one needs to be good in fielding, Batting and bowling. Sourav fielding is ok but not outstanding. I felt that Sourav unnecessarily retired too early in Test cricket. In ODI's Dravid and Sourav were left out of selection because of their poor fielding skills more than anything else. Whatever Kumble and Sourav felt that it is time for retirement, so, they quit the game. Sachin and Dravid are still not feeling in that way, so, test cricket is where they can play for few more years against major teams. In the West Indies tour Sachin is not playing and Dravid turn up for tests. So, still lot of cricket is left in Sachin and Dravid in my view..

I would say that from the shorter forms of the game, I agree with you. I think we have enough depth in both the T20s and ODIs. Also, I think he has achieved all that he wants in these two formats of the game. Anyhow he has retired from the T20 internationals. Coming to the test matches, yesterday's batting debacle shows that we are still some way away from doing without him in this format of the game. Cheers! Ram

It if for him only to decide when he quits the game. I am not worried about him losing respect because of poor show in the twilight of his career for two reasons, one, he is too good not to be respect by anyone for what he has already done, and secondly, I am too indulged in watching his prime as a batsmen! We can't say that when will the dip in his form come, if it ever comes,so hwy not just enjoy his magic till it is on display!

Dear Siliguri, You are talking about a player, who has played the maximum number of cricket matches in the world, scored the most runs, almost a ton of centuries, a player who has done almost all of it in cricket. Currently he is not a liability to Indian cricket. He is still a great asset to the team...He is still India's best batsman. With all this experience, he would know best when to hang up his shoes... So what I am trying to say is, lets leave the decision to him... Share your views... Balu.

But everyone would like to play/work to his maximum extent. For example after retiring at 60 also I want to do work. Taking that as a yard sticklet Sachin play till he is giving good performance. sorry to disagree with you on this. however we are close friends. have a nice day.

I don't think that Sachin Tendulkar should retire from his International cricket career now.At present he is playing well and in my opinion he can continue his master strokes for a couple of years more. Now most of youngsters are not that much experienced. Let them play a few more matches and let them a have foundation to their career and that too under the master's supervise. It will make them to face any challenges.
