Once again congress party cadre has started talking about Mr. Rahul Gandhi, son of late Rajiv Gandhi as Prime Minister of India. It has caused embarrassment to Mr. Manmohan Singh, the present Prime Minister and also Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, mother of Rahul Gandhi. I for one would take a stand that let him get some more years of experience and then become PM. It is because PM post for Nehru family has not been lucky-- Mrs. Indira Gandhi was murdered and Mr. Rajiv Gandhi was murdered. Let this boy live for some more years. However major decisions are taken only with the consent of his family. http://indiatoday.intoday.in/site/gallery/is-rahul-gandhi-ready-to-be-the-next-prime-minister/1/4918.html?source=IT21062011

Yes. Rahul Gandhi is being talked about again as PM in waiting. He is sure to be a PM at some stage or the other. I agree that both Indra Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi had to lay down their lives after they took over the PM position. But it was due to their own wrongdoings as PM. Make know mistake, I do not mean to say that their assasination was correct, but wish to point out that the same may not happen with Rahul. Anyway I have always been against a PM who is a puppet in the hands of someone else.

While serving in such positions a few decisions will go against a few and the world is so bad now people decide by killing the other. Under that context I though let him become PM after he crossing 40 years age. have a good day.

I am not Indian, and I have a question: Why did Indians kill Indra and Rajiv Gandhi. I know politics is politics, but it seems kind of strange that both mother and son were assasinated. I become very suspicious when things like that occur, for it leads to conspiracy theories.

I think this is a constant mantra within Congress. If you want to get noticed, then show support to one of the Gandhi clan members. It is really disappointing that with so many issues dogging the Congress government, they are more interested in this kind of flattery than looking for serious issues. The members of Congress should be more concerned in figuring out what can be done to root out the corrupt members from the most corrupt government in India, instead they resort to such tactics!! Cheers! Ram

Corruption sadly is threatening the very roots of this country. But thankfully off late there is a movement in the civil society to take on the government on this aspect. If the Lokpal bill goes through at least the basic day to day corruption can be eradicated. Cheers! Ram

Hello ram - welcome back. not to be seen for a long time. How are you? yes you are referring to Mr. Dig vijay singh's statement. it is right. I agree with you that congress should give priority for rooting out corruption. But if corruption is not there no politician will be interested in joining politics/government. have a nice day.

Corruption is a major problem in all countries, and it should be a priority for the Indian government rather than focusing on the Gandhis. I am not Indian, but I would like to know more about this fascinating country. It is one of the oldest countries in history with an interesting past. I live watching the Bollywood movies. I sad to hear that corruption is so rampant in India-what a shame!

Dear friend, I do not think that if father is a politician the son should also be a the same. The most I feel in politics is that in India, need a leader with real patriotism. When the constitution was formed Shri.Nehru with other formed it, but Gandhiji was isolated without any much support, what if it was the Gandhiji's family got the same as Nehru. Anyhow all this past is not going to come real again. But if Rahul get married to a foreigner do the Indian be with his side. Anyhow it is also just imaginary. Anyhow I feel Bharat needs a leader who is much capable to take decisions making sure the best for Bharat. I feel there would be someone form the hierarchy of those old time rulers, hierarchy decent from King or Emperors of Bharath.

NO No. if he marries a foreigner. I think he is in love with some Indian girl only. Sometimes I feel kingship is good. That is the only thing which cannot be disputed. All other things u have one or the other person disputing. my ideas may be different,

I agree with you. I think that Mr. Rahul Gandhi, son of late Rajiv Gandhi as Prime Minister of India, is too young and inexperienced to become the head of a major nation. He is only 41 years old-which is very young. I am also concerned with his lack of experience. It is unfortunate, but when both his grandmother and father have been assasinated, it is best to wait and enjoy his life, get married, and have children.

Yes. I saw he was born in 1970. that means he must be 41 now. I thought he must be in his thirties. Anyhow another three years let him wait till this parliament comes to an end. have a good day.

Hello Ravisivan I like Rahul Gandhi,he would be much better Prime minister, however I don't like what comes with him.All the Mulayams,Mayawatis,Karats etc, they are playing pressure politics. If congress has to win, they should win atleast 40-50%,otherwise all the corrupt 'supporters' would drain out the government resources by blackmailing Sonia Gandhi.Congress should sit in the opposition or support BJP,who woull be the largest single party after 2014,if they don't get the required majority. But I would have supported Congress if it had passed Lokpal bill. They are acting as if they are corrupt.People think they are corrupt, but they are not understanding who are the real roadblock before lokpal bill. They are Mulayams and Mayawatis on whose support Government is floating. Some of the corrupt people in Congress don't like Rahul Gandhi's rise as a strong leader.Digvijay singh is the one who is giving him all the bad advises.Under his leadership UP elections were lost. There was no chance for a congress victory there. All the UP's people are illiterates and they will only vote for candidates belonging to their caste..it was clear. Now Rahul Gandhi is going to get projected as Prime ministerial candidate of congress in 2014.I think this a conspiracy by digvijay and co,to end Rahul's Carrier.
