shortened links

Greece

I know that posting refferal links is not allowed in mylot. However I wanted to ask if anyone knows wether there is a problem if the posted links have been shortened and got an extra top banner with an ad. Would that be allowed or would it affect my account and get it banned?

Shortened links, regardless of where they lead us, are not allowed in the discussion area. Anything that creates earnings for the user (links to articles on other sites that earn for views for example) are not allowed. Admin clarified here at response # 16 http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2480045.aspx?p=2

First thing, you can only post referal link or shorten link in your profile but not in discussion! Using shorten link in profile does not violate terms as far I can see!

I see.. I think that as well.. in your website link you are not really linking anyone there trying to "trick" themn and most importantly you are not making discussions just to spam the shortened links in. Thanks for the reply

I think it is still not allowed here though. I don't think you will get banned the first time you do it just get your discussion deleted.

That's a good question, I'm interested in knowing this also.

You would be best answered by MyLot support on that one, as no one would willingly attempt and get banned for that.
