What is the favourite foreign [non-american] movie of yours? Over the years there have been some european movies that have done a lot better than US movies. for example, in my humble opinion I'd vote for the spanish [rec] and the french "martyrs" as the 2 best horror films of the decade. They really teach the cheesy hollywood horror movies a lesson.

I get to watch the hollywood remake of rec which is quarantine,I want to watch the original and sequel but I cant find a copy.
I will categorize them by genre:
horror
my fave foreign horror film of all time are the Japanese movie Battle Royale, because its a fushion of action and horror with an anime influence due to schoolgirls.
Thai horror films were awesome too, they were not the average asian horror hollywood loves to copy.
My other horror favorite is the British zombie flick, 28 days letter, the cast looks like real people and its very relatable.

when it comes to action movies, I usually enjoy hongkong action films because of better fight scenes but I like a certain french mvie gut i dont remember the title. it centers around a lotto ticket.
in action genre I enjoyed

Have you heard of the British horror, the descend? It has an all female cast but unlike the average scream queens they die fighting because they were a group of athletic women on their 30's.

My favorite foreign movie comes from France and it is Amélie, starring Audrey Tautou, who is a very good actress in my opinion. This movie touched me in so many ways and it isn't bland and boring like most of the american movies that I've seen recently. If you haven't seen it, you should!

It is a great movie! Actually, I really liked this film and especially I enjoyed a lot the soundtrack of the film. I love all this waltz music. French movies have proven many times that the industry there is top-class. Martyrs is one of my favourite all time horror films, french as well, and probably the most disturbing movie I've ever seen.

I used to be a movie addict before during my college years, going to movie theatres atleast three times a week. I like foreign moviews too, Indian, Japanese, German, British. They are very interesting and well-done. One of my favorite Indian movies is "Arradana", story was very good, music was so enchanting, well-directed, and excellent acting.

We forgot to mention about indian films indeed. Actually I am not that much of a Bollywwod fan, however I recognize that they have a huge film industry, that, I heard from some people, is even larger than Hollywood. That must mean a lot! I guess there must be a huge amount of bollywood fans out there. It is mostly though not my type of films, as they are known for musical, romantic movies.
