How to use social bookmarking to boost traffic?

I have tried to share my blog pages to many social bookmarking but it seems only stumbleupon and google generate some views. I knew it can be useful for promote our sites to search engine if we have powerful keywords. I am really keen to know best way to use social bookmarking. Do we need to come back everyday to share? Do we need to be active in their community?

That's also one of my concern omch. What I do is find new followers by following a few. Slowly, my community grows and whatever link I share may be viewed by more and more people. It's a work in progress, I guess.
