Geithner to Congress: Tax Small Business so Government can stay BIG

In a rare moment of honesty, Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner admitted that the Obama administration has no intention of cutting any government spending. ...Geithner told the House Small Business Committee on Wednesday that the Obama administration believes taxes on small business must increase so the administration does not have to “shrink the overall size of government programs.” They just don't seem to get it, do they? The elections of 2010 were all about reigning in government spending. What's going on here? Has the administration not heard the message we thought was sent when control of the House was turned over to the Republicans in 2010? Do they not believe that the TEA Party message is one the American voters agree with? Do they truly believe that an ever increasing government really is the savior of the economy? Are they just too dedicated to their agenda to care about the taxpayer and jobs and the economy? http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/geithner-taxes-small-business-must-rise

It is not just that. The aim of Obama and his crones is to make 250 thousand the top ceiling of what business and individuals should make. They also want businesses to be government run and so they intend to tax small and large businesses and families to make that aim. They also want the taxes increase not just for their fancy homes, etc. but also to support the leaches and the illegals, and those that Obama feels sympathy with. So they spend, spend, spend and enable those who will not even try to do anything but to increase their number. And I am not talking about those who get marred and decide to have a large family either.

Their argument is that the 250K limit will only include a small percentage of small businesses, but as has been pointed out, small business provides a very large percentage of jobs. They just refuse to acknowledge that jobs are going to drive an economic recovery, not government spending. Until they accept that economic reality, they will continue to spend and spend while the number of those actually qualifying to pay taxes continues to decrease. They refuse reality.

That 250 T limit will discourage small businesses and those who make less then that from making more money. They will think that is the limit. I do think that is their intention and that has worked in other countries. For instance if you tax the high end extremely high like about 50 percent on the money or even 80 percent on what you make over a certain amount, the only ones who would be not worried are those who have already inherited their fortune especially in a time when there was no high taxes. What they have to do is to cut spending. And of course get America back on its moral road instead of encouraging single motherhood - that costs a lot, because well the American people have to pay extra through social security etc. because the guy will not support her or he does not get a good enough education to support her without the tax payer money.

I sometimes get the idea that he does not want people to make money and just wants to support the parasites. I think he wants the people to worship him, sort of like the Emperors in the Roman Empire who just wanted the people to cheer when they put on gladiatorial games in the Coliseum. Only you have to cheer Obama when he throws money to the undeserving poor (and forgets the hard working poor). I hope that when you get a new President that things have not gotten so bad that little can be done to reverse the situation..

Why are people not saying it like it is; they are doing this on purpose.

I think the collapse of the economy is part of the purposed agenda. I wonder, though, to what level is this known? How many are just deluded stooges?

I've wondered that too. But how could we ever know? There are many who are deluded. But I look at it this way; I believe every human being is give a moment of 'truth' when they make a choice to head down a given path. It is a choice that brings us to being 'delusional'. Be it pride, greed or just plain apathy that gets us to that choice. There is also the path to finding the truth, but you don't get there chasing after money, power and fame. You set off on that path by being humble and in these days, courageous. I feel it is my job to speak the truth. And I try hard to discern what is the truth. In today's world, that is a BIG task. I feel it won't save our country per se; but it might help someone get off the delusional path. One person at a time. That's how its done. It can get so very overwhelming if we try to change everyone's mind. lol I want to see things right. I'm just realistic too. We won't, we can't stop this. We may be able to postpone it a bit. But there are human beings who are being LIED to and I find that so very unacceptable.

What they want to create is ruling class - them. As far as I am concerned they can shut the whole government down, except what is constitutionally required (this includes eliminating the White House Staff and the Congressional Staff too), and wait until the 2012 election then start over. President Clinton did not fly his daughter all over the world to get her photo taken with famous people. He did not take the nieces and nephews on trips. If he did fly friends all over he kept it quiet. I am getting sick of this in your face ruling class attitude. When Speaker Pelosi took her friends and family on a flight back home and had a party on the plane is another example. It is like they are telling us to cut back and pay more so that they can enjoy the trapping of the office. I don't remember any other administration being so in your face with special privileges and I am doing this because I can attitude. It is time to vote them all out and start fresh. If they have a D after their name is now means DUMP THEM. At least President Carter when he asked the people to turn down the thermostat did the same thing. Now we are told to conserve energy so the great leader can work in an 80 degree office in the winter.

I agree that it's very much a "do as I say and not as I do" climate in Washington. If Obama was to have any credibility at all, he would have to lead by example. Just as Al Gore uses 20 times the electricity in his home as the average American and yet makes millions just lecturing us on our energy usage, this adminstration believes we should tighten our belts and wait for his plans to work (although they never will) while he golfs and vacations and generally behaves as if he's a monarch. Interestingly, Rep Jerry Nadler of NY, a very liberal Democrat, made this same point - that the president is acting like an absolute monarch.

I saw this in the news as well. I thought it very telling. Thats like saying, if I dont get your money, I wont be able to buy myself a boat. No shyt sherlock! Now they will spin this to mean social security and gems like that. The bottom line is that we want government shrinking. At least I know I do.

Look to Greece. This is what happens when we think government should take care of us. You run out of other peoples money.

As another poster pointed out, the big tax-and-spenders continue to live the high life personally. They expect sacrifice from everyone except themselves. It's time to pull the plug on their ability to continue the spending. It's an insult to the regular guy who is just trying to make ends meet. They just refuse to accept reality and sound economic theory. They don't qualify to be in government if they cannot understand even the simplest of economic concepts. People need jobs, not social welfare programs and the government won't be getting taxes from the unemployed.

Rollo, They do, indeed, "get it" and know exactly what they are doing. Our economy and freedoms are being deliberately and with malice of forethought and afterthought destroyed by a criminal government. Economic destruction is a form of terrorism. Do you think that for one millisecond Obama and fellow criminals care what "we the people" or our Constitution or our voting "mandate" say? Think again and again. Once the usurper violated the Constitution by lying re his eligibility and keeping his records sealed with NO OPPOSITION from our Congress, Courts, and MSM, he knew he had a clear road to commit at least 50 more "impeachable offenses" with impunity. What does your vote matter? What does the duty of government to protect its constituency matter? What does upholding the Constitution of a Republic matter to those who are intent on destroying it? Just after the imposter was installed in the WH, I was on a teleconference call with two members of Congress who reported that, after issuing his first two "executive orders"- sealing his vital records at our expense, then bringing thousands of Hamas supporters to our country gratis, again at our expense,- he herded the Republicans into the bowels of the WH, NO PRESS ALLOWED, as is his wont, except when he is in posturing mode for them to do his business. He assured them that everything on his agenda would be accomplished AT ALL COST, even a second term. This was even before he rammed through "healthcare". Again, they care very much about the economy and its destruction and they care very much that the taxpayer be disenfranchised and impoverished since they want us to lose every ounce of our sovereignty. How else can they bring us to the feet of the UN, implement the NWO, their "agenda", i.e. Agenda 21, and also destroy Israel? The writing has been on the wall since before the fake election of 2008. BHO is the lynchpin. The fact that any of this imposter's aliases or illegal Social Security numbers could even be considered for a 2012 ballot is beyond insane and shows how lost we are. He has alread assumed the role of tyrant with much support. If we do not take our collective heads out of the sand, or if not one honorable official at any level comes forth with the truth, our decline and fall will be complete. http://atlahmedianetwork.org/?p=15835 http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/26650

Rather than force a huge tax on small businesses that are operating in the shores of america. The united states should slash its troops in foreign land. The huge number of military personnel is taking a tolls on the united states financial purse and now they want small business to swallow their bitter pills.
