How to create a site like videobb,metacafe and others?

I think many of you know about these video streaming services on the internet. There are many other such services which allow us to upload videos and earn money. Coming to the things they are allowing the up loaders to upload the content. They also provide an embed code with which many others can use the things on their websites. Now i am determined to make a site like this. But i do not know what are the things involved in this. What are the software's that we should use in order to build such sites, if anyone knows please tell me the software that is used. As i am an engineering student with information technology as my branch i wish to study that software and start the things, thanks in advance

If you would like to create a site you will first need two things. You can get webspace from a webhost and can register your own domain name with any domain name registrar. Most of these sites provide both webspace and domain name services. Some of them are Godaddy, bigrock etc.
Additionally you will need the php script or script in any other language using which your site will work. There may be some open source scripts available meeting your requirement.
