My boyfriend lives in Malaysia and his house ALMOST got robbed last night.
This morning he called me to say that the gate of the house was wide open someone tampered with the lock. It was really really lucky that he had a stronger lock before entering the compound of the house. And it was that strong lock that deterred the thief from carrying out his doing. However, he is now stuck inside the house because the thief, while unable to open the lock, did something to it and it's "un-openable" now.
I live in Singapore and I feel afraid every time I enter Malaysia. It's really dangerous over there. House get break into, cars get stolen. Robbers even smash car windows to get bags inside, and this happened to my boyfriend's family 4-5 times now.
It's really dangerous over there. I hope people staying there be really careful.

I am glad that your boyfriend had the stronger locks, it is such a shame when robbers break into homes and steal. They don't care about damages and stolen property. I am so glad nothing more happened.
I had my home broken into twice in a week and they caused a lot of damage and stole several things. I had the house up for sale and although I had great locks the thieves somehow knew the house was vacated and broken in twice.

I'm so glad that he has the stronger lock on. I really can't imagine what will happen if the house is without that lock.
It's sad to hear that your house had been broken into and it's twice a week. It's really sad to hear that such things are happening in our society. These people should go and get a proper job and be able to feed themselves with their own hands, rather then stealing things from other people. It's really not the right way to live.
No matter how good the lock is, there are ways that thieves are able to break into. It's really a shame to all humans. Had that house of your been sold?

My closing was 2 weeks after the break ins and once the damages occurred the contract got canceled. The damages amounted to $20,000. My understanding is that the copper probably earned them $20 bucks, while I was stuck with all the damages. The second robbery was that they took every single piece of copper in the home and stripped my huge AC unit outside. So no my home did not sell.

Wow, that does sound really dangerous..
Good thing nobody got hurt. If I were him I would try to get an even stronger lock than he had before. I hope it doesn't happen to him again!
