Viruses are caused by stupid people. Well they are not exactly stupid because they have to be bright enough to write the programs. However, to inflict them on us is really stupid.

Correct. That is a scam that fools many people and is just one of many ways to get a virus - opening an email attachment is another way.

For me main source of viruses is USB sticks.. I mean pen drive and other usb drives are common in use. And pendrive is the thing that people shares with many (mostly)..So I always format or scan before using any unknown pendrives or other usb devices in my system. Internet is also common source of viruses.. If we download things from unknown sites than chances of viruses are more.. So better we use updated anti virus for protection and follow the basic steps to prevent the virus.

Viruses come from using public PCs, downloading from some torrent sites that sometimes unknowingly you downloaded a corrupted file also by visiting some prohibited sites.

Well, I don't know what causes viruses. But, they are really very very disturbing and annoying, slowing down the computer, destroying valuable files, and so on. I do keep an anti-virus program installed on my computers, desktop as well as laptop. It is quite good, keeping the virus attcks away, and cleaning the computers periodically.

I think anti-virus is not safe to used. Because it sometimes those program create a virus alone into our pc. This reason might be to force us to buy original one not the free...

viruses cannot be of that harmfull in initial stages but if you ignore them then they may effect your system dll files and corrupt them causing booting problems ans then automatic launch of applications and stuff happens . I can only say that just avoid attachments in mails sent from DHL and UPS parcel services and do not install third party software whose publishers are not recocgnized by windows 7 or windows xp

somtimes usb is the main cause of the computer viruses but downloading files or what so ever is the main cause of a virus so beware. Every week or 3 days scan your computer with your antivirus to avoid having viruses.
