It's summer now, but I'm still having school and I have another exam coming up this Thursday. Struggling with memorizing the notes and reading the textbook now. Just drank a cup of coffee and I hope that would give me enough energy to stay up through the night. Bring it on!!! What are some ways you used to help yourself remember stuffs during exams?

I try to go over my material as I am taking the class. I got my first exam, (taking a summer math class) this Friday and still have two sections of homework and quizzes to do before that..But now I have to take a break as this class is really working my brain and giving me a headache..So I guess what I am saying, I prefer a little at a time, and continue to study even when I have nothing to do... I hope you do well, I am stressing out too, but more from not able to solve the newer problems.

Yes, I too, prefer to study a little at a time. However, to study a little at a time, we have to start revising for our exams earlier. This time, I made the mistake of starting a little to late and thus I am starting to scramble to memories my notes. Hope you will be able to relax and take a break too. Good luck for your quizzes as well.

Well, I got an 80.8 on my quiz this morning and so I need to prepare for my exam tomorrow..I can't wait for a good break, even for one day, and that will happen after I take this exam, because Saturday my neighbor invited me over for a party...

I don't think that you should be staying up through the night to revise for your exam. Rather, you should spend the time that you usually spend online revising for your exam instead and then go to bed at a normal time so that your body manages to get into a routine for the exam on Thursday. If you don't sleep, you will find that you will crash during the exam. Caffeine should never be used this close to an exam, and you should put your body into a natural rhythm. With regards to remembering the information, getting my family to test me on it usually works for me, but if you don't have anyone to do that, you could cover up information and then recite it then you can check your own mistakes afterwards.

Hi Gemma, thank you for your advice. I'm surprised to hear that we should not use caffeine close to an exam? Why is this the case? I thought it would help to keep us awake? You are right though, I should not stay up through the night to revise my exam. It would be beneficial for me to turn into bed at a normal time so my body will function well. I guess i really need to up myself on my time management skills.

SLEEP!!! I always do worse if I've hyped myself up on coffee and not slept enough. I study a lot sure, but I don't try to cram it all in. I try to make sure I'm going to have the energy to get through the test first before I worry about what I don't know on it.

Yes, we'll definitely do worse when we don't have enough sleep because we will be too tired to concentrate. However, How can I sleep if I have not even finish revising the materials? Most of the time during examinations, I go without sleep or at least force myself to sleep at least an hour or 2 to recharge myself.
