Cocktail bartender!

I had brought a book about making the cocktail. I found it was interesting and wonder what are the requirements to become a cocktail bartender. Besides the knowledge of the base alcohol drinks, the bartender also need a good nose (for smell), good eyes (to see the color), good hearing and good taste.
If for a beginner who wish to work in this field, what are the other requirements?

You can easily learn the art of mixing - you get books on that. What you really need to be good at is diplomacy knowing the kind of clients that will approach you most of whom would have lost their bearings. And the other thing is to resist the temptation of getting drunk yourself!

One does not have to have experience to know what is required in a job!
