My son and I went to an exotic animal show a few times and I got a hairless rat. Named her Millie and every morning she would sit on the kitchen table with me and climb up on my teacup and drink morning tea with me. She lived to be 3 and always loved to hide under my hair cause she didn't have any and needed the warmth. Since then I have always been interested in hairless animals I have seen hairless cats from pictures but thought I would do a search to see how much they were and find out more about them. So for all you cat lovers, I found this site that you can ooh and aww over these darling hairless kitten pics. I thought it was sooo cute. They site also has the cutest chihuahua puppies if you poke around and find the link for them. Every picture is just precious! http://www.sphynxandchis.com/pastphotos.html

I happen to think Sphnyxes are very beautiful. I know loads of people think they're ugly or look weird, but I love them. I can't afford one, as a rare breed they run pretty expensive... but I like looking at pictures and video of them. So thanks for sharing! That site has some really great pictures.

I don't think they're ugly at all. I've never seen a hairless dog before though.

One of the things I like about cats is their fur. Some of the pictures were cute, but some of them just looked odd. It would be nice not to have them shed, but I like furry cats!

I stick with my hairy cats, all but 3 are short haired so that's not so bad. Oliver lets me brush him (the black and white kitten in my avatar all grown up now) but Solo and Rio don't really care for it. Ping really likes it and so does Sparky - even tho Sparky acts like a feral cat every place but my bed!

Hairless cats are a lot to handle, therefore I'll stick with my happy lovable mushy hary taby cats thank you. I know a lot about hairless cats, and I wouldn't want a cat who I have to give bathes to all the time. Our water bill would go through the roof if that were to happen. Yeah I'll stick with my cats. Though my cat chilly is grooming himself bold in some places.
