An ugly dating site for ugly people, what???

So today my teacher brought it up to us that one of his students told him that their is a dating site that is meant for ugly people and that people do sign up on it hoping to find their partner. When I heard of this in class I was shocked so were my classmates because you know that is kind of mean, but sites like that really do exist it just never occured to me. My teacher was also going on about how the site says something like ugly people need love too. To tell you the truth I don't think that anybody is ugly that is just how I view people and it really is sad to think that people think of themselves as being ugly. Anyway what do you all think about this???

Hi anime: For me the concept of this site is ridiculos. Actually it's focus on people with low self esteem that consider themeselves ugly. A funny person can be consider sexy I think. Actually beauty is subjective, there are different kind of beauties. A person that for me could be ugly but for other person this is the guy/girl of her/his dreams. And even if we consider a person ugly why does he/she should get an ugly person too. Opposites attract each other they say. I find this site disgusting.

Yes their is different kind of beauties and I know what you mean about someone being funny and not attractive. I remember when I went to high school their was this boy who always said he was hot, but everybody thought the exact opposite, but he managed to go out with anyone he pleased since he had a very high self-esteem and was funny. So yeah people need to have high self-esteems and just not think of themselves that way. One must always love themselves before they are ready to love anyone else.

Every person looks different and it seems many people look ordinary. Many people look handsome if they are male or pretty if they are female. What one person thinks is ugly another person will think he or she is good looking. I think it is sad if a particular person joins that dating site for ugly people because it shows he or she feels ugly. That person might get turned away because he or she is really average looking. In life a person can improve his or her looks or look natural. I have heard of dating sites for those of a particular religion and that is a good idea. A dating site for ugly people seems very strange.

It sounds so crazy. As people all like beauty things. But when I have a deep thought, then I think this is a very creative idea to set up such a website. After all, few people are beautiful. Most people are still ordinary. Few people will accept themselves are ugly. If they can be available in this website, I think they want to find a person who has beautiful inside. The appearance doesn't matter.

Oh that is sad and can't imagine anyone signing up simply because they feel that they are ugly. Maybe it means more like ugly personalities and or free for all type of site.
If not and truly means that it is for ugly people, I can't imagine anyone feeling this way.

I hope it is a legitimate, or rather kind site because everyone regardless how they look deserves love. There are some beautiful looking people with very ugly insides therefore, I hope the one Anime was told about is truly a nice way for anyone signing up to get their opportunities at finding love.

Beautiful and ugly are matters of perception. I know a very beautiful girl who is never happy with herself. She thinks her body is fat, she sees bumps on her face, she thinks she does not look good. While I think she is incredible beautiful.
Beauty is in the mind. It is what someone believes about themselves. Beauty must grow internally first.
A dating site for ugly people is an offense and a shame for anyone who signs up. It is a deep depression and something that must be turned around in the peoples mind. If they work with the people to help them feel better it might be ok.

I agree with you. That sight is totally off key and so rude to those people. It's demeaning and so discouraging. Their intentions might be good but to label a person as ugly and is unworthy for love that's why they created that so they can sign up and take chances is just discriminatory for me.
LIke you i don't think there are ugly people in this world. The adjective, beautiful is very subjective. It's how we look at people that make them beautiful. I maybe less beautiful to other's but i am the most beautiful to my husband's and son's eyes.

that is a good site. then ugly people will have a site that will comfort them. they can also find people of their level.
