Hubert Webb, is he GUILTY or NOT?!

Do you know that tomorrow will be the 20th anniversary of the VIZCONDE Massacre? And as I heard from the news, after 20 years, and the case is not yet solved, it will be closed. Now, Hubert is freed, he was acquitted because of the evidence presented proving that he was not in the Philippines during the crime. He was even interviewed on several TV shows, mostly about showbiz. Today, Webb's family is mad about Mr. Vizconde's closed meeting with NBI trying to prove that Webb is, actually, in the country at that time. I, myself could not believe that it was already 20 years. I really feel ashamed and helpless about our justice system in the country. We all know that in our society, the RICH holds more advantage and power. Do you believe that Webb is innocent or not? Where is Jessica Alfaro?

dictates of the hearts should not be followed, dictates on what comes to our minds should not be followed, but it so happens that the supporting evidence of the video by Webb is more accurate... and the FBI testify it as valid evidence.... FBI is not a scam, therefore, the evidence of Webb is more to be true.... and Web is innocent...

@ilovechocolate a foreigner can't dictate an FBI agent what to do, even if he has a lot of money. That's the difference of the law of the Philippines and the United States.

what i mean is because the supporting video evidence by those Webb is taken outside the Philippines.... and FBI testify that there are records in their country that Webb is really there during that time and date of incident..... NBI is only here in the Philippines.... and there is no NBI on that particular country where Webbs vacation took place....

Even Hubert is the one who massacre the whole Vizconde family. He cannot be filed the same case because of double jeopardy rule. I believed 15 years of suffering is quite enough payment for his crime.

Currently watching some sort of hearing aired on GMANews TV and hearing the voice of Lauro Vizconde. I really want to punch this man on the face even if his wife and daughters were killed. He's an idiot being unable to move on when everyone already did. He's just making himself suffer.

@rhamcapapas I, too, wish that he get justice from what happened..but it's already 20 years. He's just like Ana Manalastas (character from 101 Days to Heaven), being unable to move on with such. (Now that I mentioned it, he should watch this show regularly.) Moreover, after Jessica Alfaro, people don't believe with the prosecutor's side of the case and their witnesses (and maybe the NBI too). People felt like they were just being played by some people, who probably are very, very entertained with what is happening. I've read Alfaro's statements myself and it's hard to believe in the prosecutors after what I've read.

My parents were both murdered when I was 13 and what we went through as orphans could be equaled or even much worse than what lauro is going through. But he's pointing his fingers at the wrong direction and I too want to shut his mouth for still insisting. This made me doubt him and rumors have spread before that he even was the one who plotted the murder of his family. Motive? Money!

Hi Toni! I really appreciate your comments. However, I also agree with ilovechocolate because it's unlikely that Mr.Vizconde himself would ever do that. I sympathize with what happened to you and I am glad that it seems that you have moved on. However, being a parent is totally different from being a child. I know that someday, the truth will come out. And justice will be served. Maybe not here in this world, but God has His own ways of executing punishment and it's way more than what man can do.

The supreme court has issued its finding that Hubert Webb and company are not guilty and the guilt was not proved beyond reasonable doubts by the prosecutors so let's abide by this ruling. If Hubert Webb and company is guilty, we may not know and only those who are in the knowledge know the real truth. As people watching this case, I think it is time to put an end to this case and let us all give peace to all of the victims (that's includes the accused and the victims' families)and help them move forward and start living again!

@visavis nope. I've read the decision myself. Having Jessica Alfaro as the prosecutor's main witness, the Judiciary decided that Webb and co. are not guilty. Alfaro's statements were clearly make-believe, thus, lessened the prosecutor's chance to win the decision.

@visavis and are you telling me that the lower court's decision was correct by denying an accuse of his constitutional right to proper hearing and presentation of evidence?

I believe WEbb is innocent. My opinion is based on the evidences presented long several years ago. I kept track of everything in the newspaper because i feared that because Freddie WEbb was in the senate at that time, it might affect the decision of the trial court. It did affect them in the negative way. Just because they were believed to be rich and influential the justice system denied them with their proper rights to court. The Supreme Court reversed the decision of the lower court for the reason that the accused were not given their proper rights in court. In simple terms they were not afforded their constitutional rights. The judge in the lower court was a soft hearted woman who was greatly affected by the drama of the case. Several evidences were stripped off from the records and were not even considered because they were in favor of the accuse. My question now is this? The supreme court is the highest court of the land and we always say back in law school that when your petition have been denied by the Supreme Court then there's no other way but to pray to God. So, can the ruling of the Supreme Court be reversed? By whom?

I am with you guys. With all that Toni has narrated , it is time to find who th real culprits are. But, a semen sample from Carmela's could have proven also if Hubert is truly not the culprit. Have they done that? I already have a bad memory , but i have in my mind that Hubert is innocent indeed.

the reason is "We Can't Judge the Book By It's Cover" it's because that Hubert is Ugly(Pogi) then he is considered as an assailant????? He who has the most Solid Evidence to present is the most important source.... avoid Heart Feelings to someone in order to solve crimes....

Actually if you are closely monitored the case you can see the strong point and weak points of both sides, the victims are really a victims of our weak system of law a corrupt way of law. So if now the government are trying to find the real culprit I hope they can. But Hubert Webb lot if money involved in that case I'm sure

In some cases like that but as my observation 90% are all illegal

there are other cases too that a money can buy justice.... it's a 60% 40% meaning: 60% money can buy justice, transaction closed, already sold out... 40% money can't buy justice because of poor negotiations....

Well, the only person who can know that is Hubert Webb himself. If he's guilty, then he's just making a fool of himself. Same goes to all the murderers and rapists who are really guilty but are set free because of the poor justice system. What would they say when they come face to face in front of their maker? On the other hand, if he is innocent, then the people who indicted him are the ones that should suffer.

I've heard some stories wherein some families of victims of heinous crimes just stay quiet to protect themselves and their loved ones. Eventually they accept their fate and they even tend to forgive the people who did the crime. It's sad but I guess it's also the art of forgiving.

i am thinking that if ever someday, if you have a plan to file a case to someone in court, especially the case is murder because he really did it... but soon, the prisoner is set free because it is found out that he is innocent because of lack of evidence, but he really did it... the fear is when he comes back to after you.... that is the real frightening scenario i am thinking.... or better to love your enemy instead of forcing him to jail??? i don't know what to do.... it is only a form of a scenario... i think, this already happened to someone else....

Well the Us immigration have reports that he has landed on there shores and been travelling. I guess this is facts enough but if there is a chance that it is all doctored then they still have no proof that he was inside that house when that incident happened.

i guess, either of the two will work.... but it's hard to doctorate the findings of the FBI.... in movie films is so easy.... like what i see in the movie starring Chow Yun Fat....
