You will have to verify your account in order to add money to it.. Which will take a few days because they will deposit money to your bank account. If you used your friend's account to verify it then you could withdraw money from it whenever you want so they might not want that.. Why not just get a bank account?

If you don't have a bank account, then go to your nearest bank and create one, then link that bank account to your paypal account and then you could put some money in it. hi @akkpakkp! If you have a Paypal account, you can put some money in it but you cannot withdraw if it is not yet verified. You have to give your own credit card number. I tried using my brother's credit card before but they won't accept. They need your credit card because they will charge .99 cents on it (but this will be refunded later to your PayPal account once you're verified) and you will input the code that they will send together with the transaction which is part of the verification process.
