Money Making Mommy

Hi lotters! Especially moms like me. After having a hard to feed kid and hyperventilation syndrome I've been stuck here at home for three years now. Well, no regrets, there are advantages and disadvantages in everything. I've been teaching online thru Skype for three years and enjoying it very much. There are times I feel lazy and I just want to spend the whole day playing with my kid but you'll really learn to love your students especially my cute Korean learners. It's really amazing that because of the internet and Free Skype, there's a lot of opportunities for us to still be productive at home. Nowadays, writing articles are getting in demand and pays even more than teaching online. Not to mention, this mylot site where we can also make money, thought not as big as teaching and writing but at least you earn and enjoy it at the same time. I can't imagine myself just watching TV while my son is sleeping. It really feels good to earn your own money and not depending on your cheapskate husband. ^_^

I have been taking care of my son for almost three years too. And actually I found mylot and other ways to make money on line because of our tragic situation. I love mylot! And I also write articles. I've done a little tutoring using skype but not much. I haven't really explored those options too much. But it's great to be able to earn a living while taking care of my son full time.

Hi. I have not taught English on line but I would like to try that as it sounds pretty fun! I usually teach math online. Give me some details of what you need specifically and maybe we can hook up and do that. I look forward to hearing from you again.

Hi there! Did you say you taught English online, too? I'm looking for an English trainer for myself and my other teachers. Do you think you can teach us. We need an American trainer to help us improve our accents. Most of us have neutral accents and some acquired a little from working in call centers or outsourced American companies. I really appreciate your reply to this message. However, because our fee is very low, we couldn't afford too much so I hope we can talk about this more. Thanks ^_^

Hello again! We are online teachers here in the Philippines. Most of our students are Koreans. But we need to improve our accent. So maybe you can help us by teaching us Accent Reduction and pronunciation. I'm thinking about a group class via skype every Saturday morning 9am-11am Philippine time. Please check out our website: www.cyenglish.com and www.cyteachers.com. We also need American teachers but I'm afraid I can't provide them much fee because as you can see our fee is very low. But hope we can discuss it more. Please add me in your skype. cyenglish- that's my skype ID. Thanks and see you soon!^^

You have found a very innovative way to teach, and you could do it from the comfort of your own home, now that is remarkable right. You are only limited by your efforts I guess and time. I wish you well

Thanks. It took me three years to finally get used to this kind of job. At first, it was really stressful. There are also times when I can't really take care of my son and other responsibilities because online teaching can also be very demanding. But at least, I've finally found the job that suits me right. Wish you well, too.

I actually visited your site, and it seem they only employ female teachers exclusively. I guess the kids have to really cute when they are learning from you. Are they all Korean kids?

I am happy for you my friend. At least , you are able to take care of your son, while you earn at home through online way. It is really a big thing to have your own money besides your husband working for the most of the household. I also plan to have an online teaching job , when time comes for me to retire. I also wish , Mylot will still be here during that time, to keep me company.

Thanks my friend. Although, this job can be really stressful at times. And it's kinda depressing to always stay at home and I really miss working with other people and seeing the outside everyday. But, I'm very happy that there are now many ways to earn while at home. I won't need to be in a hurry to beat traffic and now I can be with my son everyday. ^^ Wish you well, too.

First I have heard of someone using skype to teach from home. Are you teaching English? Sounds like you are a clever mom and making good lemonade out of the challenges of life.

It is a shame that you are stuck inside your house all of the time, but it is good that you are able to make money and look after your son by doing so. The thing is with a lot of people who are staying in, that they have to rely on their partners or families to take care of them, however in your case you certainly do seem to have everything sorted. You should be proud that you are able to look after your son without ever having to depend on a man, because being an independent woman is certainly something that is very positive.

I also did online teaching once and helped a couple of foreign professionals from the Middle East pass the IELTS exam.I really enjoyed it and felt very because I was able to help them pass that tough exam and I was so glad to hear that one of them is already working as a pediatrician in UK.:)My baby was just four months that time and I felt so worthless that I wasn't able to make money because I quit my job before I gave birth and I didn't want to take a full-time job yet because I wanted to spend most of my time with my son. Thanks to you, Rham because you introduced me to this kind of job.I got a full-time job again after trying it out and now I'm back to explore online job more and if I'd be lucky enough to succeed in this career, I would sure quit my full-time job to be with my son again every second of my life.It was only when I saw and held my baby in my arms that I realized my real purpose in life and the true meaning of it.Now, I have clearer goals and I know what I want- A good life for my son. I am so grateful that Rham introduced me to this site and I am so excited to learn and earn while having fun.:)
