When I lost my parents, I was 28. My brother and sister were younger. I felt really responsible for them because I was the oldest. Is this a normal reaction? Dows anybody here know how it feels to lose both your parents before you even got married or had kids? Mum died of cancer and dad had a heartproblem, within two years they both died. Leaving my brother and sister and me alone. I just felt really responsible for their wellbeing and automatically started taking up the parentrole. Does anybody recognise this and did it too? Do you think it is healthy for you to take up this responsibility? What would you do if this happened to you?

Well, if that happened to me, i would do the same too. Being the eldest, it is my responsibility to continue the care and love that our parents have for us, in order to live. I know it is a great sacrifice, but for every sacrifice it has its reward. Don't be sad, be proud of yourself for being a responsible eldest. In no time, one of your sibling can already help you with the remaining sibling. With God's help everything will fall into its proper place.

You are a good and responsible child. Your parents must be so proud of you, seeing you from above. You have your rewards from God i am sure of that . Keep it up and cheer up!
