What is the actual meaning of this annual termite agreement service

The beginning of this year, the Arrow Exterminator sent a personnel knock on our door, and ask us to renew the Annual termite service, and so we did. We paid the first service at early February, for them to set up these stations in our front yard. Later on late may, they sent a bill for annual inspection renewal, so I paid the bill and schedule the service today. After work, my parents told me that exterminator guy did an inspection service around the house, and they found a possible termite tube in one area. There is a recommendation for pest service of $70 per quarter. I just wonder, I already paid $250 to renew this annual termite agreement. Now found termite, shouldn't they do something about it to kill those termite, instead of ask me further for money 3 months? I hate their dishonesty.

hi Kingparker, I used to work as a Termite Control Specialist with Rentokil. I think I can help you with this. :) The existing termite bait station you paid- Are they under a contract service? How long is the contact? Mostly, is 1 year, which ever you agreed with the person in-charged. They asked for additional charges, is because they found another new termite trails from somewhere in the yard. This must be the reason why the charged you another $70. They have added another termite bait and they need to service you another bait station. P/S: Do more research online and you will understand the termites co-habitats and their movement nature. I have to say, due to the change of the world climate and the earth movement, termites will tempt to grow even more. The termite control should be monitored more closely along the walls in your house (if it's not made of brick), the cabinets, chairs and cupboards and whatever slender along the wall. Just be more cautious. Hope this help. Suggestion: Get the exterminator to requote the whole house contact again. Get them to come out with another new set of pricing for the current one which include the installation of the new termite baits. Good luck. ;)

That sounds like a scam. What's the reason why they're still asking for payment when you already paid a great sum. Back in my province we were signed up for a lawn maintenance program monthly where a lawn cleaner would manage our lawn every month for a fee. Every time the cleaner was done, he still asked for payment even though we pay monthly. We thought it was just a tip but when we asked at the head department we were shocked to find out that we also have to pay for the wage of the cleaner. We also found out that we owed a handful since we're not paying the cleaner that much (coz we thought it was just a tip, as I stated earlier). My mom sued the establishment and she found out that there were also numerous demands against them about the same thing we were filing.
