Electricity tariffs surges ahead... again~~!

Gripes about electricity bills - With this, not only is my electric bill gonna go up, my consumables are going to go up as well.

Just when I thought that I managed to finally shave off another few dollars from my bill by getting that new energy saver bulb, or that energy efficient appliance ... and looking forward to that few meager dollar savings, the news reports that tariffs are going to be increased from today! And a 6%-7% increase at that! *grumble* *grumble* *grumble* I don't even see the end of a 2% increase in my salary! But the cost of living keeps going up and up! With this, not only is my electric bill gonna go up, my consumables are going to go up as well. Sigh~~~~!

I have noticed that the prices for bills just seem to rise and rise, despite the fact that the people in the companies don't get a pay rise so I can only assume that somebody high up in the company is getting a rather large pay rise when nobody else seems to be. It is a huge problem because people's wages aren't going up at all and, in some cases, they're actually going down, meaning that they find it a huge struggle to be able to pay all of their bills on time and then in some cases they get into debt which ruins their lives. I wish that companies would think about their customers before they put their prices up quite so high.

I understand where you're coming from!! In my country, our electricty rates are going up by 33% this year - how ridiculous is that? we have a huge shortage of power sources and use mostly coal here, which is obviously not renewable. Also our electricity provider is really corrupt and is paying its managers and everything huge bonuses which we end up having to pay for in our electricity rates!! Its actually really hard to just afford to pay the bills at the end of the month :(

Time flies so fast and without realizing we are now in the seventh month of the year. It is indeed a wonderful news to have a new addition to the family. Congratulation! At the beginning of the new year I was delighted to get the occupation certificates for my two houses. One unit I've given to my son and the other is for me to stay. I am doing some renovation works now and hopefully by end of July I'll be able to move in to my new townhouse. Yesterday the interior decorator came to see me with his proposal and the estimation of furnishing the house. The cost is quite hefty and I am not sure whether to engage his services. But he promised me that the design is of a 4 star standard. I am yet to make up my mind.

Our government has just announced the increased in charges to our electricity reading. This according to them is unavoidable due to the increase in prices of oil. This is something we are not too happy about as it means an added misery to our already tight budget.

The World's demand for energy is insatiable. Unfortunately the World's ability to meet that need is reducing, especially as we see greater demands coming from countries such as India and China. When there is a shortage the price usually increases and that is what is happening to your electricity bills. We need to start to think about sourcing our power in different ways. That may be a problem for an island such as yours, but sustainable renewable energies need to be introduced in more places. Even nuclear energy is a good option in terms of power production, but not in terms of safe storage for the spent fuels. In the meantime we just have to grin and bear it.

Energy saving is big business for someone. Unfortunately it isn't us! We have a daily TV program here that is supposed to teach people how to save energy. Sample: Buy a 40 inch Samsung LED TV and throw your old CRT type TV into the garbage bin marked for recycling. Problem: That TV actually consumes more energy than my present portable. It costs 640 Euro when on special sale. My yearly electricity bill is less than 400 Euro. Where do I save anything?

I am very sorry to hear this i am not sure if you live in an apartment or something but a possibility is you could try and get a room mate and split the costs its worth a try to save some money or you could even try moving back home with your parents hope you figure it out!

YEAh!! Everything is going up again!! haha =D What can we do right? IF government wants to increase, we can only pay. IF not, survive on candles? Whatever rebates or package the government are giving to us, doesn't help in the long run. IT's only good for the 1st bill, after which, we are left to fend for ourselves again. Since government is the one implementing all the rules, why don't they come up with this policy? WIth every increase of expenses, our salary should increase along with it.. haha

This is interesting, the energy sites start to raise their tariffs and all of the telephone calls that we get are from energy suplliers who want them to change your supplier in order to get cheaper electricity from them! I find it comical, if one energy company raises theor prices it is near certain that the others will follow in time. i have tried time and time again to understand my electricity and gas bills but I have now given up the ghost. i accept that I have to pay the bills and I try to limit my energy uses to a minimum.

Don't get mad. Get Even! We need to become self-sufficient again. We have relied too heavily on a centralized power generation system for far too long. It has made us weak & dependent & needy. We need to take responsibility, personally, for supplying our own energy on a "per-household" basis & not exceed the extent that we can supply by the demands we make from the system. Radiant energy, like Tesla used in his Colorado Springs experiments before 1900, will recharge any number of batteries in any configuration extremely fast & make the battery "better than brand new" with an even greater capacity than manufacturers specifications & make each battery last forever (I am not kidding!). Tesla's work has been carried on these days since the 1970's by Tom Bearden, John Bedini & a few others. My discussion will give you all the links you need. You can build this patented design from Junk box parts for near-nothing & have full, free online support from many others in nearly every country who have already built & tested a working unit thoroughly. Information for building your own unit is free, as is joining the yahoo group with full free 24/7 support available, as it is by those who have built & tested their own working prototypes. John Bedini has built his first one in 1984 & it's still running 24/7 as good as ever & is maintenance-free. This is real over-unity stuff that you will prove to yourself. A great many other models have been built over the years & have been shown at the Free Energy Convention just held in Idaho, USA. Yes. You are from Singapore. Please adopt the following strategies to save on electricity: 1) use AC to the minimum level. 2) Use one fan instead of two in the same room 3) Switch off lights and fans, also computers, laptops when not in use. Seek the cooperation of all the family members.
