At the beginning it seemed to me a bit late to talk about this but the I thought it is never too late to talk about good music. Last year, in the 2010 Brit Awars, "What's the Story Morning Glory?" won the award for the best album of the last 30 years. There's no doubt that it really is ONE of them but is it the BEST? What I would like to know if you consideer this one as the best album in the last past 30 years. Good to remind and list the other nominated albums on this category and you will realize that is not that easy to choose one. I think Coldplay, Dire Straits or Keane are really close to it and remember this is not about a the whole career, is just about that album. The nominated were: - Coldplay, A rush of blood the head. - Dido, No Angel. - Dire Straits, Brother in Arms. - Duffy, Rockferry. - Keane, Hope and Fears. - Phil Collins, No jacket Requiried - Shade, Diamond Life. - The Verve , Urban Hymns. - Travis, The man who. Note that they are only british bands so I guess that what we are looking for is the best BRITISH band of the last 30 years, although for me british music has been the top always as they started what the rest of the world perfectioned, but that's is just my opinio, and what I'd like to know is yours. As some extra info, the day Liam Gallagher went to receive the prize, he toke the mic, toke the award, said thank you, and threw both (the award and the mic) to the public in a totally out-of-time-and-context action. You can find the video in youtube.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I like Oasis but Liam's attitude is somehow intolerable. I mean, his own brother can't even stand him. From your list, I can't decide which one is better: Travis-The Man Who or Coldplay-A Rush of Blood to The Head. Both are very influential for me. And, oh, I think you forgot to put Radiohead-OK Computer in that list.

That nomination list is pretty rubbish - most of them don't even work as great whole albums on their own (rather than albums with some good/great singles on them)
