My life over the last few years

After I was shot in September 2007, I have been trying to keep my head above water. I have had multiple surgeries, doctors appointments, and setback along the way. Now I am starting to feel normal. I am getting to a point in my healing that I am having the posts put in for my tooth implants. The long time up to there was because of the need for a bone graft and healing for that. I am also still in school for my Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I should have been done with the degree in 2008 but with the healing time I didn't get it done when I wanted to. Hopefully I will be done soon and able to start working somewhere that I can make more money. Just wanted to let everyone know where I ahve been over the last few years. Time slips away from me easily now.

Its amazing what happens in life and how so many people like yourself overcome from such bad tradgities in life. Im sure you were hospitalized after been shot and had so many cargivers in your life then. I hope you have a good road ahead of you and you keep your head up and stay strong for you and the others that want you in there life. my boyfriend i am with now had a bad accident in 2007 and is always on the road to recovery and will be on pain medicine for the rest of his life but he lives his life to the fullest and i hope you do the same in your life too. Keep strong and you will make your goals in life of finishing school.

Thank you. I was in the hospital for a month and a half. I have little or no pain because when the bullet entered it severed all the nerves in that part of my face. I have had many doctors and nurses who took care of me over this whole time. I am sorry to hear about your boyfriend's pain from his accident. I can see that this will affect him permanently. I wish you an d him the best.

I am really glad to hear that things have turned around for you. I don't know if you are a religious person, but they say that God doesn't put more on you than you can handle, and although this may have been a difficult time for you, perhaps you can use what you have been through to inspire someone else.

I am a religious person and want to see what this can do to help other people. I can see how it is helping me develop already. It would be easier if I didn't have to see the person who shot me walking around free and going to my church. He was on Ambien at the time.
