Suggestions For A New Mobile Phone

Hey guys, how's it going? I've been seeing new avatars and usernames here. Seems myLot is doing a great job advertising itself. Anyway, I'm here to ask for a suggestion for a new Nokia mobile phone. What I'm using right now is alright. It's a Nokia 5000d but, as some of you might know, I'm using mobile phone to post here on myLot and my phone just doesn't meet some of my standards. First of all it's too slow whenever I'm typing a new post, or even a message. Second, I'm a bit certain it's about the phone why I'm inadvertently leaving duplicate posts all over myLot. Its GPRS connection isn't that fast that's why the phone is loading the page twice, in turn, posting my message twice. I could go on and on but I'm sure you already get my point. For all Nokia users and those who've already used Nokia phones before, I'm looking for a phone that has more RAM memory than mine. I don't know the exact term for random access memory for mobile phones really is but I'm sure you get what I'm trying to say. My phone doesn't load images with high resolution and I want one that loads those. If you know a phone that also has an expandable memory, that would be great. I'm planning to use it as an mp3 player as well. For Ericsson users, can you suggest me some phones that has the same features I'm looking for? Yep, it's either Nokia or Sony Ericsson for me. I also liked how Sony Ericsson schemes their menus. They also try to make it user-friendly. Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Hi frontvisions101, Even I'm using Nokia 5235 Model. I bought it approx 1 year before and it works just fine. I used to access Internet on my computer through the Bluetooth connection and GPRS on my cell phone. If the Internet is slow on your cell phone, try connecting it through bluetooth (Your cell phone will behave like bluetooth modem). Apart from this option, I would suggest you to buy Samsung GalaxyS, it's damn good phone, Android is a blessing to be on your cell phone, it has completely screwed up market of Symbian OS and it's now competing with iPhone. I would suggest you to get the Galaxy S with AMO LED, it's just awesome and you will get infinite awesome apps for this cell phone. If you still want to buy Nokia, I would suggest you to wait for a few months, Nokia has launched a new cell phone E9 with a new OS (to compete with Android) and it is developed by Microsoft. Check the review of this new Nokia OS and then decide which one you would like to go for. All the best !!!

I don't like Samsung phones. I prefer buying Nokia over it. You said the new Nokia OS is being developed by Microsoft? That's cool. I'll keep a look out on that one. Although I only prefer those that are not so new, I don't really have the budget. If you can suggest me any Nokia phone with expandable memory that isn't high end that would be great.

If you are looking for a economical Nokia cell phone, I would suggest you to buy the Nokia 5230 or 5233 (check the features of these cell phones). Apart from these two cell phones, if you wish to get a cell phone with a good quality camera, try Nokia X2. Hopefully, you would like any among these three. Let me know if you would like to know more regarding this, but I need to know your preferences, expandable memory limit, touch/slider/normal keys, camera/music etc. Have you checked the Nokia website for your preferences?

I already checked the Nokia website before but I need specific suggestions from myLotters coz the prices there aren't really the fixed price. Just checked the 3 phone models you suggested and they all looked great. I fancy the 5230 but they're all a bit too expensive for me. I'm looking for something a little cheaper than these. It doesn't have to be a touch phone.

Nice. Did a quick lookup and the phone is not too shabby. Although, I'm exclusively looking for a Nokia and Sony Ericsson because those are the only brands I rely on to. I didn't like my experience with Samsung. Their phone models aren't completely compatible with Opera Mini and they also lack certain features I like.

I meant the file extensions. Samsung runs Opera Mini but when you're gonna save a file you downloaded, Samsung doesn't support it. Maybe the latest releases do but they cost way too much for me to handle.

Let's see, I don't know what to suggest. I went to your profile to see where you are from. Are you using a prepaid phone carrier or are you using a contracted phone carrier? I think your best bet is to ask your phone carrier which is best for what you intend to use the phone for. I have a droid it works good for use when it comes to simple sites, but mylotting not really as it's a touch screen phone. I would definitely sugest NOT getting touch screen as they can be quite an annoyance.

I'm a prepaid subscriber and it doesn't really matter which phone model or brand I use because any network works well to any of them. I'm specifically looking for either a Nokia or an Ericsson model. Not the high end phones being released today, just the ones that have expandable memory and is capable of showing high resolution images.

Try nokia 5800, or 52xx nokia phones. These are touchscreeb phones. I find it more easy and convinient to type in touchscreen phones. 5800 is an xpressmusic so music playing and sound quality is better. Use opera mini to post here in mylot, that's exactly what i'm doing right now. It loads everything except javascripts and gif images and it won't make your posts doubled.

This is definitely the response I'm looking for. I'll check both 5800 and 52xx phones and see what's best then I'll get back to you on this one.

Really? Pdf reader sounds cool. I just hope it isn't that expensive. I don't have that much money for an expensive phone.
